Samajwadi Party leader owns the truck that hit Unnao rape victim’s car, denies any conspiracy; UP govt recommends CBI probe

In a shocking revelation, reports have emerged that the truck which was involved in the Unnao rape victim accident on Sunday evening belongs to a Samajwadi Party leader, Nandkishor Pal aka Nandu Pal. Lal, is a Samajwadi Party leader from Fatehpur district and his wife Ramashree Pal is also a Samajwadi Party leader. Nandu Lal has reportedly denied any conspiracy angle to the incident and insists that it was nothing more than an accident.

As per Amar Ujala, Samajwadi Party leader has claimed that the number plate were blackened out to evade the financiers. Pal has three other brothers, Devendra Kishore Pal, Munna Pal and Dilip Pal, who own 27 trucks amongst themselves. Nandu Pal has reportedly informed that the truck which was involved in the accident was in the name of Devendra Kishore Pal. The truck was returning from Rae Bareli to Fatehpur.

The accident took place between Rae Bareli and Lalganj. The Police has picked up the truck driver and the truck. The truck was reportedly being driven by one Ashish of Oti village. His elder brothers do farming in the village.

Meanwhile, a suspicious man was reportedly found outside the trauma centre where the girl is undergoing treatment after the accident.


The man, Sumit Shrivastav, has been taken away by the police for questioning.

In the meantime, the Uttar Pradesh government has sent a formal request to the government of India to transfer the Unnao rape victim’s road accident case to the CBI.

An FIR has also been filed against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar on the charges of murder and criminal conspiracy. Sengar is also the prime accused in the 2017 rape case. In April 2018, a case was registered against Sengar under section 363, 366, 376, 506 and POCSO Act of Indian Penal Code and was sent to jail. Sengar along with his brother Atul Singh have been in jail since then.

On Sunday evening when the rape victim, along with her aunts and lawyer was traveling to Rae Bareli, the car met with an accident. Her two aunts died whereas the girl and her lawyer were critically injured.

Kuldeep Sengar is a BJP MLA from Bangarmau. He had joined BJP in 2017 after a ten-year stint with Samajwadi Party. He had first become an MLA from Unnao Sadar on a BSP ticket. He had joined SP later and had won the Bangarmau seat in 2007 and Bhagwant Nagar seat in 2012. He had joined BJP in 2017 and won the Bangermau seat.

The Chandauli police today took to Twitter and posted the conversation it recorded with Dinesh Maurya, a witness to the entire Chandauli incident. Maurya, a hawker by profession yesterday witnessed a wanton attempt of self-immolation that was given a communal flair by propagandists in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. The usual fearmongers continued to spread falsehood by lying that a Muslim boy was set on fire for not chanting “Jai Shri Ram.”


In the recorded video, the eyewitness mentions when he reached the spot where the incident transpired yesterday, there were few people already present there, most of whom were women.

He added that when he reached the police station along with the victim and here some people tried to put words in his mouth. They asked the victim to name one ‘Sunil’ behind the perpetrated crime. However, the eyewitness said he asked the people not to lie as he was present at the crime scene and no one named ‘Sunil’ had set the Muslim boy ablaze. The eyewitness claimed he tried his best to convince the people to refrain from giving the unfortunate incident a communal colour by peddling lies.

Maurya was questioned about the claims that few men in saffron-coloured clothes were present at the scene where the incident transpired, forcing the victim to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans. He clarified these were rumours and no such people were present when the Muslim boy set himself on fire in a dargah (maazar). He termed such claims as lies suggesting the victim has been giving different stories all this while.

Meanwhile, few more people can also be heard in the video, confirming the angle being given to the entire episode was fabricated and that nothing as such had transpired. They are heard saying that people present near the Mazaar were all good people and no one was involved in the crime.

Yesterday, Chandauli police had issued a statement on its social media account through, which it clarified that Muslim boy named Khalid Ansari, a resident of Township of Lohia Nagar town of Thana Syedaraja, who claimed that he was set on fire for refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ was fake and fabricated by few people with an intention to spread communal discord.

In fact, the police also mentioned that an eyewitness whom the police had spoken to claimed that he saw the Muslim boy set himself on fire in a dargah (maazar). His burnt clothes and a slipper was also found from the dargah.


As soon as this news started doing rounds on the social media, the usual suspects sensing an opportunity to not let facts get in the way of agenda quickly proceeded to exploit the situation by giving it a communal flair. Despite UP police’s clarification that teenager self-immolated, a coterie of self-proclaimed liberals continued to peddle lies claiming he was set on fire for not chanting “Jai Shri Ram.”

Yesterday, the victim of the Unnao rape case was travelling to Rae Bareli with her two aunts, and her lawyer Mahendra Singh when their vehicle was hit by a truck, rendering them critically injured. The vehicle collided with a truck going in the opposite direction towards Lalganj in UP.

The victim’s aunts had received fatal injuries. Advocate Vimal Kumar Yadav, a junior of the victim’s lawyer Mahendra Singh, was quoted by ANI saying that the victim’s 2 aunts had succumbed to their injuries soon. The victim and the lawyer are serious.

BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar is the primary accused in the high profile rape case. The case pertains to how the victim was lured and raped by a host of people, including the BJP MLA and how co-ordinated and meticulous schemes were hatched to silent the victim and intimidate her relatives by framing them in police cases based on flippant charges. Let’s look at the sequence of events leading to the accident in which the victim’s aunts have died, while the victim is battling for her life.

Key junctures in the Unnao Rape Case

According to the victim, she was lured by a woman named Shashi Singh, Nidhi Singh-her daughter and Shubham Singh-her son to move to Kanpur, under the guise of giving her a job. The victim alleged that on the night of June 11, 2017, she was raped multiple times by Shubham Singh and his driver Awdesh Singh. She was later raped by unknown people and sold to one Brajesh Yadav for Rs 60000.

An FIR was registered under section 363 and 366 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) on 20 June 2017 against Shubham Singh and Awdhesh Tiwari. On 21 June, Uttar Pradesh Police tracked her down and recovered her from a village in Auraiya. She was sent for a medical examination on the same day. On 22 June 2017, she recorded her statement in front of a Judicial Magistrate under Section 164 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in which she narrated her ordeal and named Shubham Singh, Awdhesh Tiwari, Brajesh Yadav and other unknown captors for the abduction and gang-rape. A second FIR was registered later under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and all the accused were sent to jail.

On August 17, 2017, the victim wrote an open letter addressed to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath claiming that on June 4, 2017, at around 8 PM in the evening, she was raped at the residence of the BJP MLA from Unnao, Kuldeep Singh Sengar. She mentioned that she entered the house for seeking Sengar’s assistance for getting her employment. She also stated that these details were reported to the police on June 22, 2017, but the police didn’t allow her to name MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in her complaint.

After being assaulted by Sengar’s supporters, the victim’s father was arrested by the police on April 5, 2018, and sent to judicial custody. His medical examination found consistent injuries after having been beaten. The police didn’t arrest Atul Sengar, Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s brother, who allegedly led the assault against the victim’s father. Three days later, on April 8, the victim tried to immolate herself in front of CM Yogi Adityanath’s residence, stating no action was initiated against the accused. A day later, the victim’s father, Pappu Singh succumbed to his injuries.

Following the death of the victim’s father, the local police sprang into action, arresting Atul Sengar and suspending 6 conniving police officials. Pappu Singh’s death and the victim’s self-immolation attempt triggered a widespread protest, after which an FIR was filed against Sengar. The case was shifted from local magistrate to Allahabad High Court and the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) took over the probe.

Following the Allahabad High Court order, MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was arrested by the CBI. The next day, on April 14, 2018, the CBI also arrested Shashi Singh, who allegedly took the victim to Sengar on the day of the incident. The CBI filed its first charge-sheet on July 11, 2018, naming Bhartiya Janata Party member of Legislative Assembly Kuldeep Singh Sengar as an accused in the alleged rape of the 17-year-old teenager. CBI filed another charge-sheet on 13 July 2018 and named Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother, three policemen and five other people for allegedly framing the Unnao rape survivor’s father.

Mohammed Yunus, who was a key witness in the attack on the survivor’s father, who later succumbed to his injuries when he was sent to jail by the local police after being framed in a fake case of possession of illegal firearms, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Yunus ran a grocery shop at the intersection where the legislator’s brother and his aides attacked the gang-rape victim’s father.

In an 18-year-old gun-firing case, the gang-rape victim’s uncle who spearheaded a campaign accusing BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of the rape of his niece and the death of the rape victim’s father, his elder brother, in custody, was arrested on 21 November 2018.

Following the accident in Rae Bareli in which two women died and the gang-rape victim seriously injured, a murder case is filed against the BJP legislator Kuldeep Sengar. An FIR has been registered against Sengar, his brother Manoj Singh and eight others at Raebareli’s Guru Baksh Ganj police station for “hatching a criminal conspiracy to kill the rape survivor and her family”.

Bear Grylls, the popular British adventurer today announced on Twitter about hosting a show with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Grylls, the popular host of the television show Man vs Wild, will feature PM Modi, who will raise awareness about animal conservation and climate change.

Ever since Grylls made the announcement, several people including left-wing ‘activist’ Kavita Krishnan came forward to tweet against the PM terming him a ‘climate change denier.’


These people were referring to the interaction between PM Modi and students on the occasion of Teacher’s Day five years ago.

On 5 September 2014, the PM had a Q&A video conference session with school children across the country. A student had raised her concern about climate change, which the PM responded. The media had reported that in his response PM Modi denied climate change. Here is what he had said.

Below is the video that was uploaded by the Indian National Congress. Videos like these were popularly shared across social media platforms criticizing PM Modi for allegedly denying climate change.

If one watches the video uploaded by Congress carefully, one notices that the video is skipping a portion at the 0:23 and 0:45 seconds mark. The video appears to be clearly doctored. It doesn’t show the entirety of PM’s response in which he has clearly talk about the effect of mankind on climate change and that if we change our behaviour, the climate would become favourable to us.

The doctored video essentially shows the girl’s questions, PM Modi using the example of old people feeling progressively cold and a clip of him saying “climate has not changed. We have changed.”

As it can be clearly seen, the Prime Minister had used an example to explain that we need to differentiate between the symptom and the root cause of an event. In the example that he used, feeling cold was a symptom and growing older was the cause. Similarly, climate change is a symptom and change in human lifestyle is the cause.

Surprisingly, even the media had got this wrong. Here are some of the headlines.

The Hindu, however, had clearly lied in its report. They have quoted him but were liberal in what was filled within the quotes.

The Guardian had also written an article compiling such reports and raising doubts over PM Modi’s stance about climate change. In the first line of its report, it mentions, “India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, reportedly will be a no-show at the United Nations climate summit this month. Could it be because he does not accept the science behind climate change?”

PM Modi’s stance on climate change is quite clear. In 2018 at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum at Davos, he described climate change as one of the three critical challenges the world is facing. In the same year, United Nations Environment Programme chief said, “PM Modi has made India one of the champions to tackle climate change.”

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar had inaugurated Video Walls in all eight Doordarshan Studios and Earth Station at DD Kendra, Delhi on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Prakash Javadekar emphasized on the significance of the Video Walls in enhancing the viewer experience.

Javadekar said that under the three-year action plan of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, support has been given to Doordarshan to modernize its infrastructure. He asserted that the addition of State of Art Video Walls and Spectrum efficient Satellite equipment is a step in the direction of revamping the Public Service Broadcaster.

The Earth Station is based on spectrum efficient technology and will enable DD to almost double the number of channels in the same bandwidth. It is also HD capable.

Significantly, however, the I&B Minister stated that professionals will be inducted into Doordarshan to make it more competitive and augment the quality of the broadcaster’s content. He said that while government officials will continue to be involved in administration, Creative Head will be inducted into the management of the broadcaster and professionals will be brought in to improve content quality. Prakash Javadekar thus hinted that lateral entry into Doordarshan is a strong possibility.

The Union Minister essentially proposed a clear separation of powers whereby the administrative responsibilities shall remain with the officers but professionals must run the editorial and creative wings. This would ensure professionalism and clarity in the long and short term.

The move appears to be along the lines of what the government has tried to achieve with Rajya Sabha TV. Despite initial obstacles, the model is functioning smoothly and yielding good results.

IT sleuths raid 13 properties linked to Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, stashed foreign assets worth Rs 200 crore recovered

In a major search operation the IT-department has recovered foreign assets worth over Rs 200 crores after it raided 13 properties in Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, belonging to Haryana Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi and his family. The search operation began on July 23 and lasted for more than 4 days.

“The group, controlled by persons who have a significant political presence in a neighbouring state for decades and are occupying responsible political positions has been generating large amounts of undisclosed income over several decades,” the IT Department said in a statement.

“Evidence detected so far reveals undisclosed cash dealings of huge amounts in immovable property transactions, construction among others,” it added.

Though the statement did not name anyone official sources in the department confirmed that the case involves Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi. Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, is a Congress MLA from the Adampur constituency in Haryana.

The Income Tax department in its statement confirmed that it has “successfully lifted the mask and has detected undisclosed foreign assets worth over Rs 200 crores, apart from domestic tax evasion of more than Rs 30 crores.”

Confirming that these foreign assets have been stashed in countries like the British Virgin Islands, Panama, UK and UAE and New Jersey for decades, the officials in the department said that this might invite “multi-agency ramifications”. This meant that the IT Dept might share the evidence against Kuldeep Bishnoi with agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and others.

Taking to Twitter, Kuldeep Bishnoi claimed that the BJP was trying to “harass” him and his family. “The way the BJP tried to harass me and my family with political hatred for four days, it reflects its close mind. Even my aged and sick mother was not spared. I have always lived a life of honesty and principles. Neither I feared the BJP nor I will,” Bishnoi had tweeted in Hindi on July 27.


Recently, the IT department had raided over 50 locations related to Madhya Pradesh CM and Congress veteran leader, Kamal Nath.

Kamal Nath’s OSD, his brother in law Deepak Puri who is the chairman of Moser Baer group and several other locations in Bhopal, Indore, Delhi, and Goa were raided by over 300 I-T officials. Documents seized from Deepak Puri’s location have revealed that the Moser Baer group had been involved in converting Rs. 242 crore of money to dollars by raising bogus bills.

Chandauli fake ‘hate crime’: ABP News quietly deletes fake report, usual suspects continue to lie that Muslim boy was set on fire for not chanting Jai Shri Ram

Last evening, Chandauli Police through its social media accounts had clarified that the Muslim boy who claimed that he was set on fire for refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is incorrect. In fact, the police talked to an eyewitness who claimed that he saw the Muslim boy set himself on fire in a dargah (maazar). His burnt clothes and a slipper was also found from the dargah.

However, the usual suspects, sensing an opportunity to not let facts get in the way of agenda, quickly proceeded to exploit the situation by giving a communal flair to this wanton attempt of self-immolation.

Habitual fake news peddler, Ashok Swain, who proclaims himself to be a ‘professor’ and whose unmitigated hatred for Hinduism knows no boundary posted a denigrating tweet casting the spiritual chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in the bad light and asserting that the victim was set on fire by Hindutva goons for his refusal to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.


However, taking cognisance of the misleading tweet posted by Swain, the official twitter handle of Chandauli police called out the lies spread by Swain and asked him to RT the correct version of the event. Swain, so far, hasn’t apologised yet for his mendacious tweet, nor has he deleted the misleading tweet.

In fact, the ABP News tweet which Swain has tweeted itself has been deleted. ABP News has now deleted the article as well. ABP News has not published another report with Chandauli Police’s version that the boy was allegedly lying.

Swain not only chose to ignore the UP police’s tweet busting his deceitful lies, but he also disregarded Twitter users who called out his perversity.


On being informed about the truth, Swain preferred to block the people who acquainted him with the truth than to pull down his misleading tweet that had the potential of inciting communal conflagration.

Another incorrigible liberal lodestar, known for being a chronic hatemonger and habitual fake news peddler, the Wire journalist, Arfa Khanum Sherwani, also gave credence to the fake news of a teenager being set on fire on his refusal to chant “Jai Shri Ram”. Here too, Sherwani displayed a total disregard of journalistic ethics of verifying the news with the particular police station before putting out her tweet.


It shows the judiciary in the bad light when its ambassadors indulge in sharing fake news that has the potential of disrupting law and order situation in the country. Prashant Bhushan, a Supreme Court advocate, also promulgated the fake news of teenager being set on fire for refusing to chant “Jai Shri Ram” on his social media pages.

However, this is not the first time that the advocate has brought disreputation to the apex court. There has been a litany of incidents when Bhushan has perversely lied which have been documented extensively. The link Bhushan has shared is the same ABP News link that Swain had shared. ABP News has now removed the article from its website.

ABP News has removed the story without any apology or clarification. Despite multiple people pointing it out to them, the propagandists continue to spread falsehood.

If recent incidents are to be considered, a concerted attempt is being made by the liberals to denigrate the spiritually edifying chants of “Jai Shri Ram” by relegating it to a war cry used by unruly mobs baying for the blood of Muslim individuals. A few days back, the Aurangabad police had demystified how Sheikh Aamer had faked “forced chants of Jai Shri Ram” to feign victimhood.

Similarly, another incident from Aurangabad had come to the fore where the victim had filed a false report claiming he was stopped and intimidated by a gang of 10 people to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’. His saviours, however, claimed that the altercation happened due to a personal feud and the victim was not made to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

A day after the Unnao rape victim and her lawyer were hit by a truck, UP Police have registered a fresh FIR in the case against MLA Kuldeep Sengar, his brother Manoj Sengar and 8 others. Kuldeep Sengar is already lodged in Sitapur jail under rape charges since last year.

As per a report in India Today, the MLA’s family is not present at their residence in Unnao. Sengar and the others have been charged with murder, attempt to murder and criminal intimidation after the Sunday’s incident where the victim’scar was hit by a truck.

The fresh FIR against Kuldeep Sengar and associates has been registered by teh victim’s unlce at Guru Bakshganj station in Raebareli.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested the driver, cleaner and owner of the truck which met with an accident with the Unnao rape victim’s car yesterday which claimed two lives and seriously injured the victim and her lawyer.


In the latest, the truck, which had hit the car in which the Unnao victim was travelling along with others to meet a relative who was in jail, and the driver have been nabbed.

“We are investigating if numbers of driver, cleaner & owner (of the truck) match with known numbers of Kuldeep Singh Sengar (accused in Unnao rape case) and his associates”, said the ADG in his press briefing.


Questioned about the reports of the truck’ registration number painted with black ink, the ADG said, “we’ve no information about it (truck’s license number painted with black ink). But the forensic investigation of both the truck & the car will be conducted and action will be taken”.

After meeting the victim in the King George Medical University and Trauma Centre in Lucknow, where she is being treated along with her lawyer, Rajiv Krishnan confirmed, “Doctors have told me that they (victim & her lawyer) have been put on a life support system. Some of their bones have fractured. One of them has a head injury.”


The mother of the victim was not in the car at the time of the accident and has survived. However, her two aunts died in the accident. The victim and her lawyer, Mahendra Singh, are said to be critical after a truck hit the vehicle she was travelling in yesterday.

The UP government is to bear the expenses of the girl’s treatment (Unnao rape victim), confirmed ADG Rajiv Krishnan.

Talking about the police team deployed for her security, not accompanying her when the accident occurred, ADG furthered, “Prima facie, the victim’s family had themselves asked security personnel to not accompany them because of lack of space in the car. But it’s a matter of investigation”. However, he has asked the Unnao SP to investigate as to why the security personnel were not accompanying them.


It is notable here that the victim was provided with police security since last year. She had 10 guards, three as personal while rest 7 to guard her residence. However, as per reports, the police team deployed for her security was not accompanying her when the accident occurred.

As per reports, the vehicle had collided with a truck going in the opposite direction towards Lalganj in UP. The truck reportedly hit the vehicle near the turning at Sultanpur Kheda village in the Lalganj-Raebareli highway. The victim, her lawyer and others were reportedly travelling to Raebareli to meet the victim’s uncle who is imprisoned in Raebereli jail in charges for assaulting Kuldeep Sengar’s brother Atul Sengar.

Uttar Pradesh DGP OP Singh said on Monday that the Uttar Pradesh police will hand over the Unnao rape survivor car accident case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) if any demand is made by her kin.

The Unnao rape case had made headlines in April last year when the victim had accused that she was raped by Kuldeep Sengar and his associates back in 2017 but Sengar has been avoiding arrest due to his political influence. The case has been riddled with many accusations, counter-accusations and instances of clashes and assault between the victim’s family and Sengar’s associates.

Vidisha Baliyan is a modelling student of Asian Academy of Film & Television. Baliyan’s family currently lives in Ghaziabad. She was trained for the pageant in Gurugram and Noida.

In the final round of the pageant, out of the 16 countries that participated, 11 finalists were chosen among which Vidisha emerged victorious. She had participated in the pageant despite having a back injury. A South African woman has been chosen as the runner up in the event.

Vidisha took to Instagram to share the news. She was hearing-impaired right from childhood. She wrote, “Winning the title is just the beginning of the dream. There are many people with hearing-impaired conditions who are extremely talented and deserve opportunities. As Robert Frost famously said, ‘Miles to go before I sleep’.”

Vidisiha also explains why she participated in the pageant. She said, “I was inspired to participate in the pageant to gain confidence and develop my personality. Through this platform, I also want to motivate the deaf community to focus on the talent they have, and not be upset about what they don’t have”.

During the talent round of the pageant, she performed Tandav. She shared pictures of her performing it on Instagram. She wrote, “Performing Tandav, which is a vigorous dance form by Hindu God Lord Shiva. Since my young age, I’ve loved dancing though I couldn’t hear the rhythm, melody or sounds clearly. To dance, one needs fire in their heart and soul, and music in their spirit”.

Besides this, Vidisha is also a former international tennis player. She represented India at the Deaflympics. As written on her Instagram post, Vidisha had earned the 5th rank at the Deaflympics following which she suffered a severe back injury. She then wrote, “Unable to see a reason to live, I didn’t give up because of the strength my family gave me. And in time, I was shown another way – Miss Deaf India. A novice to the world of beauty and fashion, I learnt what was needed and won the title”.

Narendra Modi’s appearance on Man vs Wild will burn the ‘liberal’ heart because it defeats their mission to dehumanise him

British adventurer and survival expert Bear Grylls, known for his popular television show — Man Vs Wild, will host a unique guest on his show on August 12. The guest is none other than Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. “People across 180 countries will get to see the unknown side of PM Narendra Modi as he ventures into Indian wilderness to create awareness about animal conservation & environmental change,” tweeted Grylls. 

By any standard, this is set to be one of the most historic episodes. Politicians in general and Indian politicians specifically are considered to be rather prudish when it comes to venturing out of the traditional role of a politician. Donned in the traditional kurta-pyjama, the Indian politician is often seen as old, boring and someone who doesn’t live in the same zip code as ‘fun’.

Prime Minister Modi has changed that to a large extent. From his colourful Safas, to his Modi jackets. From his habit of venturing unannounced into the crowds to meet and greet to rockstar like events abroad where he even shared the stage with Hugh Jackman and said ‘may the force be with you’. His appearance on Man vs Wild is another step in familiarising the man behind the post with the population.

This historic step, however, did not sit well with several of his detractors. Shah Faesal, a Kashmiri politician who is often found pandering to Pakistan tweeted that he will watch and promote this episode if the Modi government spares articles 35 and 370 in Kashmir.


Aside from the fact that Faesal’s tweet drew an asinine comparison between a program aimed to raise awareness about animal conservation & environmental change and a long-overdue policy decision aimed at the further integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India, his response, while illogical is not surprising.

Then there were others like Kavita Krishnan who lied about PM Modi not caring about climate change, while the truth is that India was one of the first few countries to ratify the Paris Agreement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is perhaps one politician who has managed to break the glass ceiling far number of times than any other politician. He was first catapulted as the Gujarat Chief Minister and then, seated at the PM throne in Delhi without ever having served at the centre. He won with a thumping mandate not once, but twice, and is perhaps the most vilified politician to have overcome the international cabal to not only rise to power but with a landslide majority in India.

In order to go after one man the way the international cabal went after Narendra Modi, perhaps the primary requirement is to dehumanise the target to such an extent that the cabal is viewed as not attacking a man, a human being, but just the idea of him.

For over 15 years, Narendra Modi was vilified and made to be an object of hate for what happened in Gujarat in 2002. He was branded the ‘merchant of death’ and a litany of adjectives that need not be repeated. The aim was singular: ensure that he is projected to be so terrible, that he stops being human in the eyes of the people. It makes the process of absolute vilification far easier.

The absolute dehumanisation of a leader serves several purposes for the international cabal. It ensures that people don’t view him with any amount of sympathy or admiration. The all-consuming hate is simpler to sell when the man is reduced to an object, or even, an abstract idea. Once the humanisation is done away with, it is easier to make the falsities stick. No matter how outlandish the lie is, no matter how reprehensible the comment or abuse is, it is easier for the people to stomach because the man being abused has also been divorced from the physical, human realm.

The outrage of the ‘liberal’ cabal aimed at Narendra Modi, not just for the Man vs Wild show but largely, must be viewed through this lens. Why is it that a political interview by the Prime Minister gets far less outrage as compared to his informal interview with Akshay Kumar? Why is this appearance of PM Modi on Man vs Wild irking the ‘liberal’ far more than his policy decisions?

Simply put, these appearances humanises Modi and delivers a massive blow to the ‘liberal’ agenda of treating him as an idea that must be hated. It puts the man back in the empty shell they wish to project Modi as. People hear him answer questions about his favourite fruit, or watch him laughing at some meme on Twitter, he suddenly becomes a human being who is not just what the cabal projects him to be.

The ‘liberals’ have often followed this modus operandi of subtly dehumanising the ones who don’t agree with their world view, just to make it simpler for the fence-sitters to stomach the choicest abuses and adjectives that would be used for the person or group of people who dare to disagree.

Anyone who dares to question them gets branded a ‘troll’, an uncouth sub-human who deserves nothing but abuses. By doing so, they not only dehumanise thee dissenting voice but also elevate themselves on to a pedestal. The contest thus becomes unwinnable. An ‘intellectual’ on a pedestal versus a dehumanised sub-human who deserves nothing but rebuke.

When RSS workers or even Hindus are murdered in cold blood, they rather not talk about it. And if they do, they ensure that their dehumanisation project is smacked on track. One recalls how Rajdeep Sardesai dehumanised Prashant Poojari. Rajdeep Sardesai even wrote an article where he asserted that Prashant Poojari’s murder had a ‘political context’ whereas the murder in Dadri, of a Muslim man, was a product of pure hatred bred by Hindus. Poojari was not human. He deserved no sympathy, ergo, by extension, any Hindu murder must be viewed with a different set of lens, ones that deny them the right to be humanised.

Any RSS worker murdered must be projected as a hoodlum. A criminal. The narrative is simple – he got what he deserved.

This is also why they detest the very existence of artists like Anupam Kher or even a Shekhar Kapur. Through their ethereal art, they proved themselves to be as human as anybody else. As human as the liberals. And thus, they must be vilified as this proves to be a massive road bump in their ‘Project Dehumanise’.

Any non-liberal voice must be and has been for decades, reduced to an empty shell worth unbridled hatred. Any dissenting voice vilified. The truth is forgotten. Buried under a pile of lies, misinformation and a campaign so strong, that no amount of humanisation would work. The hate that PM Modi is about to get for his ‘Man vs Wild’ appearance is because seeing Modi as a human being dents ‘Project Dehumanise’. The ‘liberals’ played the game, and Modi seems to have swooped in and changed the rules.
