A 19-year-old Hindu girl went missing from the area of Mallital in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Family members of the girl have lodged a complaint with the police and have claimed that a youth from the Muslim community, identified as Faizan Farukhi, a permanent resident of Swar in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh, abducted her after luring her away.
In a complaint filed by the girl’s family members at Mallital police station, their 19-year-old daughter has been missing from the house since Sunday, 2nd November. The missing girl’s mother told the police that Faizan Farooqui was already in touch with her daughter and often used to come to Nainital from his bike to meet her outside the school. The family has expressed apprehension that Faizan Farooqui had taken him with him.
The girl’s family further stated that when they tried to contact the brother of the accused, he refused categorically to know about the matter. The mother also claimed that the family of the Muslim youth could also be involved in the incident.
Police immediately took action in the matter. The police have registered a case under Section 87 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Faizan Farooqui, a resident of Swar of Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh on the basis of a complaint filed in the Mallital police station. The police have started search for the girl and recovered the girl soon.
