Sambhal CO Kuldeep Kumar warns against disturbing peace over Middle East conflict, asks Iran supporters to go to the war-torn country to show their support

Sambhal Circle Officer (CO) Kuldeep Kumar, on Thursday (March 12, 2026), warned people not to disturb law and order in the district over the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict in the Middle East. CO Kuldeep Kumar made the remarks during a Peace Committee meeting held in the Asmoli area of Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the festival of Eid.

Kumar strictly warned people that anyone found violating the law or disturbing the peace in the district will face strong legal action. He told the people that they have no business being concerned about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He added that those who feel very strongly for Iran can board a flight to the war-ridden country and extend their direct support in Iran’s fight, but they have no right to disturb the peace in India over a conflict that does not involve India. He urged people not to pay attention to the conflict in other countries and to peacefully celebrate the upcoming festival of Eid.

The CO also clarified that the administration will not allow people to offer Namaz on the streets or in public places. He asked people not to raise any slogans relating to the conflict in the Middle East.

Kumar’s remarks came in the context of massive protests that erupted in several states of the country after Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes on Iran. The Shia Muslims in India came out on the streets in large numbers and mourned and protested against the killing of Khamenei, creating a law and order situation.
