A Pakistani security forces convoy was attacked in Balochistan’s Nok-Kundi area, and seven personnel were killed in the incident. According to the reports, five bodies were removed from the site, while the remaining two were left in the desert. Pakistani troops moved away from the area following the attack. Sources also claimed that an ambulance team was hesitant to reach the location because of fears that another attack could take place.
Nok-Kundi is located in Chagai district of Balochistan, close to Pakistan’s borders with Iran and Afghanistan. The area also lies along the important Quetta-Taftan route, making it significant for both trade and security movement.

The attack comes at a time when Balochistan has witnessed several attacks targeting Pakistani security forces. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for several recent attacks on military convoys, checkpoints and other security installations. However, casualty figures released by the group have not been independently verified.
Earlier this month, the BLA claimed that its fighters had ambushed a Pakistani military convoy at Ziarat Cross in Pishin district. The group claimed that several security personnel were killed, while Pakistani authorities acknowledged fighting in the area but did not confirm the casualty figures claimed by the BLA.
BLA claims series of attacks across Balochistan
The BLA has also claimed attacks in areas including Kharan, Mastung, Kalat, Surab and Lasbela. In a statement covering operations between 7th and 13th September, the group claimed that 43 Pakistani military personnel and state-backed militia members were killed. The latest Nok-Kundi incident has therefore added to concerns over the security situation in the region. However, the exact number of casualties and the circumstances surrounding the reported attack will remain unclear until there is an official statement or independent confirmation.
