On the third consecutive day of Operation JALRAHAT-II, troops of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles continued their flood rescue and humanitarian relief efforts across Imphal Valley, rescuing 944 civilians from waterlogged and inaccessible regions. The operation included the distribution of 1,500 food packets and 4,000 bottles of clean drinking Water.

Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with the Mizoram Special Narcotics CID, apprehended three individuals and recovered heroin worth Rs 9.51 lakh from them in Aizawl.

According to 2001 census data, there are only about 31,562 Hindus in Mizoram compared to 7.72 lakh Christians. The Hindu community is comprised primarily of Gorkhas and Bru Rehangs.

The Assam Rifles (AR) have deployed anti-drone systems in Manipur to counter any 'rogue drones,' and additional anti-drone guns are being brought into the state by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to enhance security measures.

The viral videos showcase the Kuki militants moving towards the Jiribam district in Manipur from land and water routes.

Lt Gen Nair also spoke about the existing challenges including that of the weapons that are still in circulation in Manipur.

Manipur police personnel are seen in the video accusing Assam Rifles of interfering with their operation while chasing the armed miscreants. In the footage, an Assam Rifles officer is heard claiming that he is merely performing his job.
