The CBI has directed the Public Works Department (PWD) under the Delhi government to hand over all documents by 3 October. The CBI will now enquire into all aspects related to the alleged irregularities that were revealed by an enquiry conducted by the Chief Secretary of Delhi.
A senior CBI official informed that the arrested persons were involved in bribery of Rs 50 lakh. A complaint was received into the matter, and the trap was laid.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against unnamed officials, nodal officers, and PSU bank staffers for a scam in minority scholarships worth Rs 144 crores. The complaint has been registered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
