Earlier the residences of Hurriyat leaders were raided by the NIA as part of an investigation in a terror-funding case and incriminating evidence including letterheads of terrorist organisations were recovered.
The probe which began in July 2017 after the government had ordered a probe into the Pilatus deal. The CBI had begun an investigation into the Rs. 2900 crore Pilatus deal which allegedly involved an absconding arm dealer, Sanjay Bhandari, close to both Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra.
"The biggest gamechanger is the Ayushman Bharat, the health care scheme meant for the 50 crore poor people of India. 16 lakh poor people have already availed benefit under this scheme in the last five months," added Jaitley.
The report further adds that the ED has established a money-trail of kickbacks which were received from the Pilatus and Samsung deal signed during UPA era.
Jaitley highlights the issue of politicians and their 'extended family' living well without working. He states that instead of directly indulging in corruption through bribery, wheeler-dealers or fly-by-night operators are being used by corrupt politicians to get 'sweetheart deals'.
