Gujarat ATS

On Tuesday, officials informed that the Indian Coast Guard seized 300 kg of narcotics worth 1,800 crore in a joint operation with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) off the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL). The joint operation with the ICG and Gujarat ATS was conducted on April 12- April 13.

The drug bust was jointly conducted by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The drugs seized included 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of marijuana.

“Since he (Azhari) is an accused in this offence, his activities in addition to his Trust’s activities and financing will be investigated in detail,” SP Jat said adding that more stringent sections will be added in the case depending upon the findings of the investigation.

The suspects were also in touch with foreign handlers. They had acquired a pistol and ten rounds of ammunition. We suspect that they were planning to commit some terror-related activity.

According to reports, the accused is guided by handlers named Shariful Islam and Shayba, who are the district leaders of a terrorist group in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district.

Mohammad Tariq was arrested on July 6 by UP ATS for spreading the ideology of ISIS on multiple social media platforms while ISKP terrorist Sumera was arrested by Gujarat ATS last month

The accused, Nilesh Walia, fell prey to a honey trap and subsequently leaked crucial information of BSF to Pakistan in exchange for money.

Arrested BSF personnel Vishal Badia was honeytrapped by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. He was providing information to a virtual online person Aditi.

Gujarat ATS revealed that the arrested woman from Hyderabad had become a hardliner Islamist and was in constant touch with ISKP terrorists.
