As per data available, in Financial Year 2006-07, there were a total of 195 train accidents in India. In FY 2007-08, there were 194 accidents followed by 177 in FY 2008-09, 165 in 2009-10, 139 in 2010-11, 131 in 2011-12, 120 in 2012-13, 117 in 2013-14, and 131 in 2014-15.
