Islamists in Bareilly insulted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel after climbing over the freedom fighter's statue with their shoes on.

Persons appearing in the video have been detained for questioning. An FIR has been registered in the matter. Investigation is underway. Appropriate action will be taken in the matter."

The Bombay High Court denied bail to three Islamists associated with the banned terrorist organization the Popular Front of India (PFI)

The arrests took place in Mira Road and the accused are booked under the Indian Penal Code, Passport Act and Foreigners Act.
