Tamil Nadu police stated that five out of the six volunteers who disappeared from Isha Foundation’s yoga centre in Coimbatore returned after departing for private reasons.

After slamming the Police, the apex court directed Tamil Nadu's Director General of Police (DGP) to initiate a probe and take action against the erring police officials in accordance with the law.

As per a news report published by Tamil daily Dinamalar on Sunday (21st January), the DMK-led-Tamil Nadu government had reportedly given ‘unofficial verbal directive’ to temples against conducting special prayers and offering Annadanam  on the occasion of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha.
