In a statement, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he had designated German-based Antifa Ost as "Specially Designated Global Terrorists," alongside three other groups in Greece and Italy. He called this move an effort to build on Donald Trump's "commitment to confront Antifa’s campaign of political violence."
Rubio also said that the US was aware of the potential risks of rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the blast, but appreciated New Delhi’s calm and responsible approach.
