Punjab Police have killed one suspect and arrested another in the Gurdaspur border killings. Investigations reveal the youths were allegedly recruited by Pakistan’s ISI for money. One accused was shot during an encounter after escaping custody when a police vehicle overturned in dense fog.
After shooting his 49-year-old father at their Ashiyana home, the accused allegedly dismembered the body, dumped several parts in nearby areas and hid the torso inside a drum before attempting to mislead investigators.
The bodies of an ASI and a Home Guard were found inside a border check post barely a kilometre from Pakistan. Posters surfaced claiming responsibility, while police sealed the area and launched a forensic investigation.
