On 17th November, 41 acres of illicit poppy production was wiped out in Manipur's Tengnoupal and Kangpokpi districts. A joined team identified and uprooted the crops during the day-long operation which was conducted in the Khudei Khullen hill range under Tengnoupal Police Station.
AAP MLA from Sangrur Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra asked the agriculture minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian if there was any plan to allow the cultivation of poppy in Punjab.
One iron ring was affixed to the cargo, along with a large packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape which contained two suspected heroin packets and two smaller packets of opium, according to the BSF.
