Uttarakhand government has put an end to rumours regarding some provisions of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), where it is being said that outsides would get the domicile certificate.

Professor Surekha Dangwal said that the registration under the UCC is for the sole purpose of preserving the demography of the state and enriching the government database.
