A 23-year-old guy named Noman Shabbir Sheikh was arrested in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat for raping a seven-year-old boy on the rooftop of Makhdoom Saheb Mosque in the Jamalpur area. This incident happened under the fake excuse of teaching the kid how to pray namaz, as the police shared on Sunday, 8th February.
According to media reports, Noman, a local resident, tricked the boy into going up to the roof in the afternoon by saying they’d offer prayers together. He kept the child there for about 15 to 20 minutes and carried out unnatural sex. The child reached home and told his parents about the entire incident. Upon learning of the incident, the family immediately filed a complaint at Gaikwad Haveli Police Station of Ahmedabad. The poor kid is now in serious condition and getting treatment at a hospital.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Noman has past assault cases against him. Police went ahead and recreated the whole scene to figure out exactly how he pulled it off using the prayer pretext. The CCTV camera installed in the mosque has shown the accused taking the child up and coming back down, which is becoming important evidence in the investigation.
Police have filed a case, taken him into custody, and done a panchnama of the spot. They’re digging deeper into his background to uncover more about his criminal record. The child’s medical examination is also being done, and further action is being taken based on that.
