Ahead of the West Bengal election, the police have arrested a Trinamool Congress (TMC) goon named Raju Mondal, who was seen threatening people from voting for the BJP in the Baharampur Assembly constituency.
The development comes after a video of Mondal went viral on social media.
In the video, the TMC goon was heard saying, “You cannot vote on the lotus (the election symbol of the BJP). If there is chaos on the voting day, then there is no need to go and cast your vote. I will send sweets to your home.”

He warned, “If you want to make us win because TMC is there for you 24/7, then those who support us will need to cast their vote. No votes should go to waste this year. I am telling this clearly.”
A woman who was intimidated by the TMC goon was heard reassuring him that she would do the needful.
“We will note who is casting their votes from each house. Our cameras will be present this time. It will be live this time,” the TMC goon claimed.
