On Monday (6th April), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a press conference to further debunk the lies peddled by the Congress party about his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma.
He highlighted that the targeting of his wife by the grand old party, ahead of the Assam Vidhan Sabha election, had a Pakistani link.
“The Pakistani link to the yesterday’s press conference has also now become very very apparent. The entire material of the press conference which has taken place yesterday was supplied from a Pakistani social media group,” the Assam CM pointed out.
Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that in the past 10 days, several talk shows were conducted in Pakistan about Assam elections. “And in every talk show, the final conclusion is that Congress should win.”
He announced that both criminal and civil defamation cases have been filed against Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera for raising the issue in public using fraud documents to influence the outcome of the election.
“Yesterday, my wife has filed an FIR and I am sure that police will register the case in the appropriate section of law and take necessary action,” the Assam CM underlined. Charges have been filed under Sections 420 (Cheating) and 468 (Forgery) of the IPC (and corresponding BNS sections).
Himanta Biswa Sarma named a man named Tipu Sultan, who uploaded the original passport images, which were photshopped by the Congress party to insert the details of his wife.
He presented a slide/presentation titled “GauravElizabeth786”. This was a mock entity created by the BJP to show how easily fake digital footprints and companies can be generated online to mislead the public.
Himanta Biswa Sarma further stated that the UAE government and the Indian government have confirmed that the passport shown by Khera of Riniki Bhuyan Sharma is fake. He also pointed out that the alleged Egyptian passport of his wife is fake, which can be easily proven through a Google Reverse Search.
