A case of love jihad has come to light in Indore, where a BSc student has accused a Muslim man of hiding his identity, sexually exploiting her, and forcing her to convert to Islam. The complaint has been filed at a women’s police station, and the case has sparked fresh concerns over safety and personal freedom.
According to the FIR, the student said she met a man who introduced himself as “Rahul” nearly a year ago. He claimed to be Hindu and gradually gained her trust. One day, he took her out and mixed a white substance in her drink. In June 2025, he took her to his house in the Khajrana area, where he offered her a Red Bull energy drink. After consuming it, she lost consciousness.

The victim claims that the accused raped her while she was unconscious and also recorded explicit videos without her consent.
Threats, coercion and conversion pressure
After she regained consciousness, the accused revealed his real identity as Abdul Aziz Pathan. He then threatened to leak her private videos if she did not convert to Islam. The victim claims she was repeatedly harassed and pressured over several months.
In her statement, she said the accused forced her to wear a hijab and pushed her to recite Kalma, introducing her as a Muslim in front of others. She also said that she was mentally and physically tortured during this period.
“He used to scare me, saying that if I didn’t convert to Islam, he would defame me. He tried to erase my identity and kept me like a mistress. I just want justice,” the victim said.
The situation worsened when the woman became pregnant in September 2025. When she asked the accused to marry her, he put conditions to convert her to Islam and later forced her to take abortion pills. Her health deteriorated, and she claimed that he abandoned her during that time.
She also said that when she intervened to stop his engagement with another woman, she started receiving death threats.
Following the complaint, a case has been registered under charges of rape and relevant sections related to religious freedom laws. Members of Shri Rajput Karni Sena accompanied the victim to the police station and supported her in filing the FIR.
The group has also warned of protests in the coming days, saying a rise in such incidents and demanding strict action against the accused.
