The controversy surrounding the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) being an unofficial B-Team of the Aam Aadmi Party took a massive turn when the movement’s founder and spokesperson finally admitted that their high-profile protests were actually planned and managed by a key AAP leader. On Saturday night, 26th September, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka went live on his Instagram account.
During the live session, AAP Youth leader from Maharashtra, Ajinkya Shinde, joined in, and the duo announced plans to launch “Jantar Mantar 2.0” after a few days, aggressively demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The broadcast took an explosive turn when CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also hopped onto Ranka’s live session. During the interaction, Ashutosh Ranka openly accepted that Ajinkya Shinde is actually Abhijeet Dipke’s mentor. He further disclosed that the high-profile CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, which started in June this year and wrapped up on 25th July, was entirely planned and managed by the AAP leader.
Ranka admitted that Shinde was working backstage and managing the entire crowd. Adding to this, Dipke candidly stated, “hmlog to kbhi kbhi stage par chale jaate the masti krne ke liye, lekin sara crowd management and volunteering sab Ajinkya manage kar raha tha.”

Who is Ajinkya Shinde?
Appointed by the CJP as the National Organisation In-Charge on 6th August, Shinde is deeply entrenched as an active AAP functionary. He previously resigned from his regular job to become a full-time member of the Aam Aadmi Party and has served as the former AAP Maharashtra Youth Wing State President and state committee member.

Furthermore, having been announced around May 2025, Shinde also served as the AAP Goa Sah Prabhari before smoothly transitioning into his official CJP organisational role. Reports strongly indicate that Shinde continues to serve as the Convenor of AAP’s Maharashtra Youth Wing.
Notably, Shinde never publicly issued an official, standalone resignation from the party. Instead, he simply transitioned away from his active roles as the AAP Maharashtra Youth Wing State President and Goa Sah Prabhari the moment he was appointed to the core leadership of the newly formed CJP.
The mask completely falls off
Ultimately, this late-night Instagram confession proves that the mask has completely fallen off the CJP movement. What was heavily pitched to the nation as an organic, youth-led uprising turns out to have been calculated political theatre designed by AAP experienced party handlers. By pulling strings from abroad, Dipke lying about his true political history, and exploiting the genuine anxieties of students and NEET candidates, this so-called well-wisher created immense public disruption across India.
Thousands of naive students who trusted a supposedly “neutral” banner were easily used as political props, leaving behind a trail of broken promises, hijacked protests, and exposed falsehoods. This is not the first time the CJP’s direct connection with the AAP has surfaced, but the major difference this time is that the founders themselves openly admitted that their demonstrations were entirely managed by an active AAP leader.
