West Bengal: TMC Panchayat leader arrested for molesting, attempting to rape a differently-abled woman in Medinipur

Days after the horrific incident of rape and murder of a minor by a TMC worker was reported from West Bengal’s Hanskhali, a similar incident occurred on Thursday in Paschim Medinipur’s Kalukhanra.

According to the reports, Trinamool Congress Panchayat member Avijit Mondal has been arrested for molesting, torturing and attempting to rape a differently-abled woman at Kalukhanra village.

The incident took place at Pingla police station in West Midnapore on Monday. The differently-abled woman went to her elder sister’s house in Kalukhara village. The girl was abducted and sexually abused by the Panchayat member Mondal when she had gone to the pond to wash the dishes.

On the next day, the victim was examined at Midnapore Medical College and Hospital. A complaint was filed against the TMC member by the family. On Wednesday, police arrested Mondal and produced him before a Midnapore court.

The accused, Avijit Mondal, has been sent to three days of police custody.

Reacting to the incident, West Bengal Water Resources minister Manas Ranjan Bhunia called rape a “heinous crime’ and asked not to politicise the issue.

“Rape, torture of women is a heinous crime. If you politicalize who is from Trinamool or who is from other parties, then it is a difficult matter. Rape is wrong. He will be arrested, he will be judged. Whoever he is or whatever party he belongs to,” Bhunia said.

The incident comes days after a minor girl died after allegedly being raped earlier in the month in Hanskhali in Nadia district. The minor girl, a student of Class 9, was raped on April 4 during a birthday party at the house of a TMC panchayat official’s son.

The girl died from heavy bleeding, and her body was purportedly cremated by the accused forcefully. There was a huge uproar against Mamata Banerjee-led government across the state. Following this, two persons, including the TMC leader’s son, were arrested thus far. The Calcutta High Court ordered a CBI probe into the incident.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had stoked a huge controversy by expressing doubts over the cause of the minor girl’s death. She had tried to downplay the brutal rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl and had stated that everyone was aware of the girl’s love affair, so one is left to wonder here whether it was an actual rape or pregnancy that went wrong.

Russian Black Sea flagship Moskva sunk, Russia says ‘stormy seas’ caused damaged ship to sink while being towed to port

The confusion over the status of the Russian guided-missile destroyer Moskva has finally ended after Russian state media announced that the damaged ship has sunk while it was being towed to the Black Sea port of Sevastopol.

As per Russian media, the Moskva, badly damaged after a ‘fire that cause ammunition explosion’, was being towed to the port of Sevastopol when the stormy seas caused the ship to sink. The Moskva’s crew were already evacuated into other ships.

As per many reports, the sinking of the Moskva is one of the biggest Naval losses after WWII.

Russia had earlier said that it will soon tow the Black Sea flagship Moskva back to the port after extinguishing a fire on board. Earlier Ukraine had claimed that the missile cruiser is hit by the Neptune missile and that it had sunk. But now the Russian defence ministry has said that the ship is still afloat and the main weaponry in the ship is still safe.

According to a report by Sky News, the crew on the ship Moskva was evacuated onto some other ships nearby. The Russian defence ministry also confirmed that the ship was damaged, however, they didn’t say that it was damaged due to a missile attack by Ukraine. Quoting the comments of the Russian defence ministry, the Tass news agency mentioned, “As a result of a fire on the Moskva missile cruiser, ammunition detonated.” However, the cause of the fire was not specified. The ministry said that it is still investigating the cause of the fire.

The ministry had said that the fire on ship had detonated the ammunition on board, and the fire was contained and the explosion of ammunition was also stopped.

Later the ministry said, “The source of the blaze on the Moskva has been contained. The explosions of ammunition have stopped.” They had further added that “the fire on the cruiser Moskva has been localized”. Quoting the ministry officials, RIA Novosti news agency said that the ship is maintaining buoyancy and that its main missile armament was not damaged in the incident. The ministry added that efforts are underway to tow the cruiser to Sevastopol port.

Some reports claimed that the ship has already arrived at the port, and some others even claimed that the ship was not towed but sailed on its own power.

Earlier, Ukrainian officials had stated that they have hit the Moskva with 2 anti-ship Neptune cruise missiles from the coastline between Odessa and Nikolayev and the Moskva is now sinking. However, there were conflicting versions of the claims by Ukraine, as while the Odesa state regional administrator claimed it was hit by Ukrainian missiles, Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy, had said that there was a fire on the ship, and didn’t mention abou any missile hit.

“There’s a big fire … The sea is stormy so it’s unknown whether it’ll be possible to get them help. There are 510 crew members there. We can’t figure out what happened, either two sailors were smoking in the wrong place, or once again certain safety measures were violated,” Arestovych said as per a CNN report. However, later he had tweeted that the ship has drowned.

According to reports, Pentagon is also not sure what had happened with the ship. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that “there was an explosion” on the ship, but the United States could not immediately determine whether the ship was struck by a missile. “We’re not quite exactly sure what happened here. We do assess that there was an explosion, at least one explosion on this cruiser. A fairly major one at that, that has caused extensive damage to the ship,” the spokesman said.

Kirby had further added, “We assess that the ship is able to make its own way, and it is doing that; it’s heading more towards, now, we think the east. We think it’s probably going to be putting in at Sevastapol for repairs.”

Moskva was Russia’s flagship of the Black Sea fleet

The Moskva is a famous Russian warship, commissioned in 1983 and carries 16 anti-ship Vulkan cruise missiles. It also carries vertical tubes for 64 S-300 air defense missiles and rail launchers for 40 Osa missiles, as per a Forbes report. It is one of Russia’s 3 Slava class cruisers and is heavily armed, so an ‘ammunition explosion’, as Russia said happened, can severely damage the ship. According to the earlier reports, the blow to the ship was so heavy that it was considered beyond rescue. But now the Russian officials have come up with their resolution to tow the Black Sea flagship Moskva back to the port.

Earlier on March 24, the Russian landing ship Saratov was blown up on the Russian-occupied port of Berdyansk, possibly hit by a Ukrainian missile.

Chairman of EU Parliament’s trade panel Bernd Lange says Free Trade Agreement between India and EU can be signed before 2014 elections

Bernd Lange, the Chairperson of the European Union Parliament’s Committee on International Trade, recently visited New Delhi. In his visit, he said that he hoped for the early conclusion of a free trade agreement between India and the European Union (EU). He also underlined that as both India and the EU have elections in 2024, it will be great to have an agreement before that election campaign will start.

A seven-member delegation of the European Parliament visited India for the first time since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24th February 2022. The delegation was led by the member of European Parliament Bernd Lange. In this visit, the delegation met with India’s finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, trade minister Piyush Goyal, and other top officials.

While speaking to WION News, Bernd Lange said, “The situation now is different than we had, in our last attempt to have a trade agreement 10 years ago. We are faced with a situation in which a lot of countries are using trade in a management way, some protective measures, specifically regarding pandemics. So, I guess it’s time to rethink the relations between India and the EU as the 2 biggest democratic entities worldwide and this is also one result of my meetings here in Delhi. There is an open mind to restart negotiation in a different way between India and the EU.”

Speaking about the free trade agreement between India and EU, he said, “You in India have elections in 2024, we have a European election in 2024 so it will be great to have an agreement before the election campaigns start. So mid or end next year, as I said political will there, might be realistic.”

Bernd Lange also mentioned about the free trade agreement signed between India and Australia as a standard that can possibly be followed. He said, “There are experiences with other trade agreements, India concluded just with Australia, we are negotiating with Mexico, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia. So, there are some standards.”

It is notable that this assuring hope from the member of the European Parliament came after the western liberal media speculated various sanctions against India for its stand in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. India continued its trade relations with Russia as well as other countries including the USA. On 2nd April 2022, India decided to clear away the trade barriers while signing the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement with Australia and pledged to double the bilateral trade between the two countries in the coming few years. The agreement will help in taking bilateral trade from $27 billion to $45-50 billion in the next five years.

Contractor Santhosh Patil suicide case: Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa to resign tomorrow, says he will be acquitted

Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa said that he will hand over his resignation to the chief minister on 15th April 2022. He is the minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in the Karnataka government. His name appeared in the alleged suicide case of contractor Santhosh Patil and a case was registered against him for abetment of suicide over the death of Santhosh Patil who was a civil contractor in Udupi.

On Tuesday 12th April 2022 at the night, an FIR was registered following the complaint from Prashanth Patil, brother of Santhosh Patil. KS Eshwarappa’s staff members Ramesh and Basavraj were the other accused named in the FIR.

“Tomorrow, I am handing over the resignation letter to CM. I thank you all for your co-operation,” the minister said on Thursday evening. In the meanwhile, CM Basavaraj Bommai has said that Eshwarappa decided to resign on his own, and there was no pressure on him from the party. “There was no pressure from the high command. Also, Eshwarappa did not resign because of the pressure of the Opposition led by Congress, as is being claimed. His resignation is on his own accord,” the CM said.

CM Bommai further said, “We will conclude the investigation at the earliest and reveal the truth. He (Eshwarappa) said that he will be acquitted of all the charges and till that time he does not wish to carry on with the post. He has spoken about it in the press conference. He will meet me tomorrow evening.”

Santhosh Patil was found dead at a lodge in Udupi in a case of suspected suicide on Tuesday 12th April 2022. According to the complaint filed by Prashanth Patil, residents of Hindalaga village had called on Eshwarappa in the state capital in the year 2020-21 and requested him to lay roads, and construct stormwater drains and pavement in the hamlet.

The complaint further states that Eshwarappa gave the nod to start work and assured that the budget will be allotted to the work. The contract for the work was awarded to Santhosh Patil who took the work worth Rs. 4 crores in the village and the bills for his invested money were pending.

Prashanth Patil’s complaint alleges that Santhosh Patil had visited minister KS Eshwarappa several times and requested him to release the bills but the minister’s close aides Basavraj and Ramesh demanded him 40 percent commission.

Santhosh Patil’s alleged suicide note was shared with the media. It reads, “I am going on a journey of no return. Panchayat Raj Minister K S Eshwarappa is directly responsible for my death, and he should be punished. I have taken this decision after suppressing all my wants and desires. I have brought some friends with me, after lying to them that we are going on a picnic. But they are not responsible for my death. I thank all my friends, I also thank the journalists for highlighting my problems.”

It further states, “I request Mr. Yediyurappa, a senior leader of the Lingayat community, and anyone who can help my family, to help them out.”

BJP spokesperson Vijay Prasad said while speaking to CNN News18, “It is the ethics that matter. Having said that, whatever things we are maintaining as a party will still go on. Eshwarappa is a tall leader. He does not want to put his party in any kind of embarrassing situation.”

Malaysian writer Uthaya Sankar says he will never write about Islam again his life after he was arrested for allegedly insulting the Prophet

Malaysian writer Uthaya Sankar, who was arrested over a Facebook post that allegedly insulted Prophet Muhammad, has vowed not to write anything about Islam in the future.

According to the reports, Uthaya Sankar was arrested by the Kaula Lumpur police on Monday over a Facebook post that was put up on April 7.

In his post, Sankar had allegedly written about the issue of polygamy and the Prophet Muhammad, which was alleged to be insulting to Islam. He was Section 298A of the Penal Code, a law that stipulates offences related to creating disharmony and disunity, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of communications networks.

The police had said that they had seized a mobile phone and a SIM card from the suspect which are believed to have been used when uploading the post.

However, he was released after two days after police failed to secure a four-day remand order against Uthaya. They released him from custody on Wednesday.

Following his release from prison, Uthaya said he would never write about Islam in his life. “I always read about Islam, but I have learned my lesson. I will keep away from Islam and not write anything about Islam in the future, that would be the best,” he said. He was speaking to Malaysiakini after he was released from police custody earlier today.

Uthaya said this was the first time he had slept in a lock-up. “I had no problem and slept well last night. The lock-up was also clean and well maintained,” he said.

After his arrest, Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hasan had advised the public to be cautious while making public comments of sensitive matters. “The public should also be smart and prudent social media users and not use the platform to cause public anxiousness and threaten national harmony. Firm action without compromise will be taken against any individual who intentionally threatens public order and safety,” he had said.

Fact-Check: Is Adani Group procuring wheat in Punjab and Haryana instead of FCI

For the last few days, videos have been making rounds on social media networks where farmers could be seen lining up outside silos owned by Adani Group to sell their crops in the Moga district of Punjab. Some of the media houses have claimed that the farmers are selling the crop to Adani Group instead of going to government mandis, where wheat is procured at a fixed MSP.

The media outlets like ABP Sanjha, The Khalsa TV, The Punjab TV, and others claimed the farmers are selling crops to the Adani Group. On the other hand, other media houses like Indian Express and Pro Punjab TV used clickbait titles for their reports.

In a short report, ABP Sanjha stated that farmers opposed Adani Group during farmer protests, but now they have chosen Adani silos to sell wheat. It showed long queues outside Adani Silos in Moga. Speaking to ABP Sanjha, a farmer named Harpreet Singh said he was not only able to save time by selling the produce there but also save around Rs 5,000 extra in the whole process.

In its report, Khalsa TV alleged that farmers told them as government mandis were closed in Moga, Punjab and Kaithal, Haryana, they had no other choice but to sell produce at Adani Silos. Khalsa TV alleged the government had made the system in such a way that the farmers had to go to Adani Silos to sell the produce.

In its clickbait report, Pro Punjab TV said that the farmers were choosing Adani Silos as there were more facilities. The report suggested the Adani Silos officials informed them that Adani Group is not procuring the wheat but only storing it on behalf of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) that has taken Adani Silos on rent. The procurement is done by the government, and Adani Group has no role in it.

Interestingly, the farmer Pro Punjab TV spoke to did not mention he was selling produce to FCI. He confessed that he was part of farmer protests and stayed at the Delhi border for a year. He further claimed the farmer union leaders cheated them by entering into politics, and now he had to remove the Kisan Protest flag from his tractor to come to Adani Silos to sell the produce. His tractor had “I am farmer not terrorist” written in Punjabi. He told the reporter that it took only four hours to complete the process at Adani Silos, but the wheat that his known farmer sold at a government Mandi in another district took around five days to complete the process.

The Punjab TV ran a 6-minute rant of a Samyukt Kisan Morcha leader alleging that the claims of wheat being sold to FCI and not Adani Group were fake. He blamed the Centre for allegedly misleading the farmers. He alleged the central government has planned to shut down government Mandis and shift the procurement process to private companies. He urged the farmers not to go to Adani Silos and said the farmers would take their rights directly from the government.

The reality behind the Adani Silos controversy

The claims that the Adani Group is procuring food grains is not corerct and misleading, because the grains being stored in Adani silos are actually purchased by the Food Corporation of India (FCI). Adani group has built the silos, the FCI has taken the Silos on rent, and the farmers follow the same process of selling the wheat as they were following all those years. According to a report in The Indian Express (that used the clickbait title showing farmers are selling wheat to Adani Group), noted that the silos have been functional since 2007.

The silos that come under Adani Agri logistic have a capacity of 2-lakh tones. Every wheat season, it gets around 90,000 tonnes of wheat. The Indian Express quoted Amandeep Singh Soni, cluster manager of Adani Agri logistic at Moga, saying, “We have been providing the storage place to FCI, and in lieu of that, the government pays rent and handling charges to the Adani group as decided by the government agency but the crop is procured by FCI only.”

Speaking to OpIndia, Pankaj Kumar Singharia, Divisional Manager, FCI Divisional Office, Moga refuted the claims that wheat was being sold to Adani Group. He said, “Adani Silos are just a storage point, and the Adani Group has no role in procurement other than providing the facility for storage of the produce. The Silos are located in close proximity to the villages, making it easier and economical for the farmers to sell the produce. The claims that Adani Group is procuring the wheat are false. FCI and state agencies are doing the procurement as per their requirement.”

As per a report in Times Of India, farmers can get the wheat cleaned and unload the wheat at Adani silos in one go making it easier for them. As the handling is also managed by the Adani group company, the farmers are finding that the facility better for them. They are getting MSP as suggested by the central government, and the payment is being made directly in the bank accounts of the farmers within 48 hours.

TOI quoted a farmer Kulwinder Singh saying, “We are selling the stock at an MSP of Rs 2,015 per quintal and not a penny more. There is a misinformation campaign that farmers are selling wheat to Adani at rates higher than MSP, and totally untrue.”

Those who are accusing the farmers of selling crops to Adani Group have alleged that those farmers have forgotten the “sacrifice of 700+ farmers who died during protests”. Notably, there were discrepancies reported in the number of deaths farmer unions claimed had happened during farmer protests.

Chinese surgeons removed hearts of patients while they were still alive under government orders, shows study

According to a recent study by the Australian National University (ANU), Chinese surgeons, working at state-run civilian and military hospitals, have been cutting out prisoners’ hearts and lungs while they’re still alive. This practice, according to the researchers, has been going on for more than three decades. It is a part of an illegal organ harvesting scheme being conducted in connivance with the Chinese government.

Media reports suggest that Australian National University (ANU) researchers combed through thousands of Chinese medical papers and concluded that surgeons were killing prisoners during surgery including some “prisoners of conscience” who had not been certified to be brain-dead. These surgeons are reportedly recruited by the state to kill prisoners through organ transplant surgery.

The term ‘braindead’ refers to someone who will never regain consciousness or begin breathing on their own without the assistance of a ventilator.

Matthew Robertson, a politics student, who led the study said, “We found that the physicians became the executioners on behalf of the state and that the method of execution was heart removal. These surgeries are highly profitable for the doctors and hospitals that engage in them.”

Matthew Robertson and Jacob Lavee, a cardiac surgeon and professor at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine examined 2,838 papers on transplant procedures in China between 1980 and 2020 and discovered that in 71 cases, brain death was not properly established before organ removal.

“If the reports we examine are accurate, they indicate that heart and lung procurement by the surgeon was the proximate cause of the prisoner’s death, thus directly implicating the surgeon in the execution,” the researchers said, fearing that the true figure may be much higher because inconclusive results are omitted from reports.

“While we don’t know exactly how these prisoners end up on the operating table, we can speculate there are multiple troubling scenarios as to how this happens,” Robertson told the Australian Financial Review.

Notably, in June 2021, a group of UN independent experts expressed their concerns at allegations of organ harvesting carried out on minority groups including Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, Tibetans, Muslims and Christians, in detention in China.

“The most common organs removed from the prisoners, according to the allegations received, are reportedly hearts, kidneys, livers, corneas, and, less commonly, parts of livers.” This type of medical trafficking allegedly involves health-care professionals such as surgeons, anaesthetists, and other medical specialists”, the express had claimed.

In fact, this was not the first time that the UN had raised the issue of illegal organ harvesting in China. Indeed, similar concerns were raised by the UN with the Chinese Government in 2006 and 2007, however, without an adequate response.

“I don’t have confidence in management”: Read what Elon Musk told Twitter while offering to buy 100% shares of the company

Amidst all the speculations, Elon Musk made an offer to buy 100% shares of Twitter Inc, the company that runs the microblogging social media platform Twitter. Musk, who is making news after owning the largest share of 9.2% stake in the company, claims he will ‘unlock its extraordinary potential’ after making the company his private ownership.

Musk junked down the offer for joining the board of directors of the company, which he had initially accepted after a condition was put before him that we would not be able to raise his stake beyond 15%. Now as an independent investor, Musk is keen on buying the whole of Twitter itself and making the company private.

Making an offer to buy Twitter.Inc in cash, he added, “I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for USD 54.20 per share in case, a 54% premium over the day I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced.” He posted the link to the SEC filing regarding the offer, which included his communications to the company. He is seen texting Twitter board chairman saying the company should go private by this coming weekend.

Screenshot from the SEC filing

“After the past several days of thinking this over, I have decided I want to acquire the company and take it private. I am going to send you an offer letter tonight, it will be public in the morning,” Musk texts. “Are you available to chat?” asks the Richest person in the world colloquially while negotiating what could be one of the most defining deals of the decade.

Elon Musk says he’s done playing it ‘back-and-forth’ and is moving straight to buy Twitter, a plan he always had at the back of his mind. He said that he does not not confidence on the Twitter management, and will reconsider his share in the company if his offer is not accepted. “If the deal doesn’t work, given that I don’t have confidence in management nor do I believe I can drive the necessary change in the public market. I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder,” the Tesla CEO says categorically.

“This is not a threat, it’s simply not a good investment without the changes that need to be made. And those changes won’t happen without taking the company private,” Elon Musk writes. He states that this is a high-price deal and the company’s investors would love it.

Elon Musk is in safe position to easily buy 100% shares of Twitter by cash. It has to be seen how the Twitter board and management react to his offer.

Party of Islamic Renewal targets OpIndia, rants against Sufi Islamic Board and its demand to ban PFI, says Muslims has right to fight against India

Days after OpIndia reported that Sufi Islamic Board that they have been threatened by Popular Front of India (PFI) for its efforts to expose them, a radical Islamists group Party of Islamic Renewal has come forward to defend PFI and slam the Sufi board and OpIndia. The Party of Islamic Renewal published a long rant against SIB today, where they also targeted OpIndia.

A person with the Twitter handle @UmmahWolf2, which claims to be a staffer in the Party of Islamic Renewal led by Al Massari, has published a 14-page document on social media today, where he went on a long rant against Sufi Islamic Board, where he used terms like dogs of RSS to describe them. Quoting two OpIndia Reports on SIB, the letter tried to refute their claims, saying that the board has not legitimacy.

To counter the board’s assertion that Muslims are not persecuted in India, Party of Islamic Renewal quoted a long list of articles published by several anti-Hindu Islamist and left-liberal media houses, which claim that Muslims are facing persecution in India. The letter said that Sufi Islamic Board’s claim is ‘laughably blubbering’.

Apart from media reports, it also quoted some ‘reports’ by some organisation to claim that Muslims are being harassed in India under the Modi govt. Liberally using the terms Nazism and fascism in the entire document, the letter quotes several fake claims like the claim that Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf a best seller in India or that there are concentration camps in Assam, and called love jihad non-existent.

‘Wolf Of The Ummah’ says that Sufi Islamic Board is dog of “fascist BJP/RSS”, and refuted the charges that Popular Front of India (PFI) is ‘radicalising’ Muslims and engineered the hijab row. “I repeat, no: it is the fascist BJP/RSS Hindutva-Brahman supremacists’ policies which are inciting communal disharmony and alienating Muslims,” he wrote.

He claims that the Muslims are the aggrieved party in the contrived ‘hijab row’, and the PFI can’t be blamed for it. He said that SIB is part of the problem because they are allegedly agents of BJP/RSS.

The Party of Islamic Renewal further declared the Board as Kafir. They wrote, “The so-called SIB are therefore collaborators to fascists, and are munafiq kaffirs in the Islamic legal definition: see Quran 5:55-56, 3:28, 3:118, 4:88-91. The self-styled SIB’s claims to do such treachery and nifaq for ‘communal harmony’ are the well worn-out excuse of the munafiq kaffir, Quran 2:11-12.”

It then mocked SIB for their “pathetically meagre following on Twitter,” claiming it proves that both the organisation and its “munafiq kaffir Secretary General Syed Hasnain Baqai” do not have grassroots Muslim support. Given that SIB’s comments on PFI were published on OpIndia, the letter by the ‘Wolf Of The Ummah’ claims that it proves that SIB has “deep personal connections to high ranking members of the Hindutva-Brahman supremacist movement.”

“This leads us to conclude that you are a group that does not exist independent of the BJP/RSS, and are not an organic part of the Muslim community in India, but a façade of the BJP/RSS to demobilize and rule over the besieged Muslims in India,” the letter further states. It adds, “In reality you are no different than the Nazi collaborator Kapos who assisted in the Holocaust or the munafiq Harki collaborators during French colonialism in Algeria”.

The letter accused of SIB of working for monetary gain, because the organisation asked people to donate to them instead of PFI. “You munafiqs stand shoulder to shoulder with rapacious sexual deviant Hindutva-Brahman supremacists,” it accuses.

Going on and on about alleged atrocities of Muslims in India, the letter alleges that “concentration camps being bult in Assam will mostly be inhabited by Muslim women, guarded by hate filled Hindutva-Brahman supremacist regime forces with a record of rape culture.”

“In effect the SIB wants the Muslims of India to become slaves and their women concubines like the imperial Japanese comfort women in Korea and China during WW2, or like the Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang,” it adds further attacking the board.

In the most schocking part of the letter, the Party of Islamic Renewal claims that Muslims in India have the right to use violence. It claimed that the prophet had actually supported violence against Kafirs, saying that against the claims of SIB that actions of PFI go against the Prophet Mohammed’s true Islam, the letter states that the Prophet Muhammad praised Abu Basir and his rebels in their resistance.

It further said, “Muslims in India have the Islamically legitimate right to carry out insurgency, sabotage & espionage against officials of the Indian regime involved in oppression as well as soldiers and police officers enforcing oppression.” The letter said that PFI should ignore any ban imposed on it, and said that “any individuals and Muslim organisations in India, banned or otherwise, are at liberty to war with the state until all measures of persecution are rescinded, or independence is achieved.”

Declaring an open war against India, Party of Islamic Renewal said that the alleged atrocities on Muslims in India gives “all Muslims on Earth, outside of India, the Islamically legitimate right to declare war on the Indian regime as a legitimate defensive jihad”. It added if Muslims outside of India cannot directly “participate in conflict against the BJP/RSS Hindutva-Brahman supremacist fascist regime”, they should “seize its assets, confiscate its shipping, deny it access to airspace and waterways, expel its workers, fund, arm and train mujahideen and state military forces engaged in war with India, and use cyberwarfare and sanctions against it.”

Party of Islamic Renewal said that they reject the terms like ‘terrorism’, ‘extremism’ and ‘radicalism’, and encouraged all Muslims to participate in the jihad against India. They claim that actually “the tyrants in the UN Security Council, and India, Myanmar, the Zionist entity ‘Israel’ etc” fit the term terrorist.

The radical Islamist group then suggested that Muslims in India can ally with other separatist groups like Sikhs For Justice. They appealed the SIB members to defect from the organisation, after leaking documents of the organisation.

The letter ended with threats of communal violence in India. It said, “I say to the SIB and their masters in the BJP/RSS: if you do not stop provoking conflict with the Muslims of India, and now the Islamic world, you will learn the truth of Robert Fisk’s warning, as your dream of Akhand Bharat turns into a nightmare, and India descends into the flames of communal carnage: ‘it would be better for you to leave India’s 180 million Muslims alone”.

Watch: ISKCON Dwarka VP Amogh Lila Das mocks Christian missionary tactics, highlights their cheap tricks and allurement to convert the poor

Hindu Monk and Vice President for ISKCON centre in Dwarka, Delhi, Amogh Lila Das has mocked the petty conversion tactics used by Christian missionaries in a video posted on Youtube. The video has garnered reactions on the internet, in which the monk clearly defines what sets Iskcon’s work apart from the missionary programmes which convert Hindus to Christianity.

In the video posted by the Youtube channel ‘Citti Media’, Lila Das was seen elaborating on how the evangelists dramatize miracles in the process of alluring people towards Christ. Lila Das enacted how the missionary activists dramatise divinity by making the patients drink some supposedly magic portion touched by Christ, and then how the person suddenly recovers and starts dancing. “Just see the magic of Jesus Christ!” – a scene which is common in conversion conclaves across the breadth of India.

ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) monk Das further went on to elaborate, “They (missionaries) take miracles and dramatise them to the next level. They do this so that the people come to Christianity. After this, they also give some kind of materialistic provisions like hospital treatment, a job, or some five thousand rupees in case one gets converted, and all of such cheap methods to convert people.” Talking about what part institutions like the ISKCON play in this, he said, “But we focus on spiritual education. We don’t force people and use such cheap tactics to convert people to Sanatana Dharma. We inspire them, educate them and we have answers to all their questions.

Amogh Lila Das described an incident when he heard a Christian missionary making outlandish claims. “I was once listening to a missionary saying Anyone and everything apart from Jesus Christ is coming from Devil including those Hare Krishnas who have all the answers to the questions on this planet. In a way, he was appreciating us.” Lila Das asserted, “We never say this. We are not exclusivist but inclusivists. Our strategy isn’t our way or the highway.”

The menace of Christian missionaries who with the intent to ‘civilize the natives with a religion’ remains a contentious issue in India. Alone in 2021, the missionaries converted more than 1 lakh people in India amidst the pandemic, while more churches have sprung up in India collectively than last 25 years. From indoctrination to cultural appropriation, the nexus of conversion lies so deep, that many states in India have started implementing anti-conversion laws.
