“I follow Jesus but am not a religious Christian”, old tweets of Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa go viral, netizens accuse her of being ‘crypto-Christian’

On Saturday (16 September), old tweets of Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa created a social media storm in which several users alleged that she is a ‘crypto-Christian’ and is close to the notorious evangelist Ankit Sajwan. Apparently, Christian pastor Sajwan has been holding large congregations to en-mass convert poor and gullible individuals.

Sonampreet Bajwa popularly known as Sonam Bajwa is an Indian actress who is predominantly active in the Punjabi industry and is also popular on social media platforms. Apart from Pollywood, she has also worked in Tamil and Telugu films.

At the centre of the social media storm are the actress’ old posts in which she admitted that she “follows Jesus” and has referred to Christian Pastor Ankit Sajwan as her “spiritual father”.

In one of her posts, the actress talked about her relationship with Jesus claiming that many users would not understand it.

In December 2017, Sonam Bajwa tweeted, “I follow JESUS but I am not a religious Christian. I aim to have a relationship with him not religion. Someone like you won’t get it.”

In many of her now-deleted posts, she asserted that she was very much a Punjabi and had not converted to Christianity.

However, on 23 June 2018, the Punjabi actress wished Christian Pastor Ankit Sajwan on his birthday. She also thanked him for being an amazing brother, “Pastor”, and “Spiritual Father”. She further added thank you for truly showing what God-kind of relationships are.

Later, on 16 August 2018, Ankit Sajwan wished the actor on her birthday saying, “Happy B’day Sonam. Love your kindness and humility. You are Daddy’s beloved and we love you so much. Have an awesome B’day.”

Apart from birthday wishes, the duo have also attended some event(s) together.

It is important to note here that Ankit Sajwan is an “influential” Christian pastor who has met several senior politicians including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for bestowing Christ’s prayers on them.

In the backdrop of these posts, several users have alleged that the Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa is a crypto-Christian, and evangelists like Ankit Sajwan are using her fame to en-mass convert gullible people into their religious fold.

One social media user said, “She’s a Crypto Christian. Look at her old posts there are hundreds of posts about Jesus. We have to be aware of these newly converted Christians.”

Evangelical ‘preachers’ are ‘Christianising’ village after village in Punjab

Christian missionaries and evangelical organisations are best known for their multilevel marketing techniques. Their network comprises healthcare centres, education centres, and everything that a family living in the hinterland or below the line of poverty is in need of. In some cases to attract youngsters, rockstar-kind of ‘conversion’ concerts are held where Christianed Western concepts are presented as paragons of modernity to attract Gen-Z and youth.

With a multi-pronged ploy, they achieve their evangelical and one true objective by first detaching the villagers from their roots. In a well-defined and well-designed strategy to uproot the Sanatan society, the slow indoctrination is coupled with a slyly crafted inculturation campaign. This inculturation includes every possible way to disguise the Gospel in local culture and traditions be it through Yeshu Jayanthi to Yeshu Kathakali.

The concept of inculturation is deeply enshrined in Christianity. It “denotes the presentation and re-expression of the Gospel inform and terms proper to a culture.”

Through techniques like ‘inculturation’ and ‘indoctrination’, evangelists have been achieving success in ‘Christianising’ village after village.

While the exact number of forced or lured conversions is hard to arrive at, according to one estimate in a limited geographical span, the missionaries converted as many as 1 lakh people and adopted 50,000 villages in a span of one year. Claiming that the pandemic lockdown was ‘godsent’, they promised to provide medical aid and two square meals amidst the financial crisis and lured the hapless villagers into the fold of Christianity.

Interestingly, there are many Pentecostal Pastors who are leading Christian conversion menace in Punjab and they include individuals from Former police officer pastors to ambitions of the ‘largest Church in Asia.

Jammu and Kashmir: Properties of 13 terrorists seized in Kishtwar in a major counter-terrorism action by J&K Police

0

Police have taken massive action against terrorists in the Kishtwar district of the Jammu division in Jammu and Kashmir. The properties of thirteen terrorist commanders have been confiscated by the Special Investigation Team (SIU) of the local police. Notably, they have fled from the region and crossed over to Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They are hiding there and executing their nefarious plans from across the border.

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) has raided the upper areas of the Reasi district of the Jammu division. The news about the same was shared by police on 16 September. The authorities revealed that the operation was carried out by the counter-terrorism branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police on the basis of intelligence reports in Pouni and Mahore tehsils.

Some over-ground workers (OGWs) were reportedly providing logistics support and information to anti-national elements. Some electronic gadgets and multiple documents were seized during the search.

Reasi was liberated from militancy more than a decade ago, however, the upper parts have been witnessing the movements of terrorists for some time now. More than 25 terrorists have been neutralised in separate encounters along the Line of Control and in the hinterland in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

One terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Chassana area of the Reasi district, while another managed to escape on 4 September. Authorities disclosed that certain OGWs serve as border guides and use a variety of mobile applications to communicate with their handlers in Pakistan. They assist the terrorists logistically.

An official proclaimed, “The terrorists are trying to resume their activities in the interior areas of Reasi, which won’t be allowed to succeed. The SIA is already investigating a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against two terrorists arrested last year. The agency obtained a search warrant from the court and conducted the raid in the presence of an executive magistrate.”

Terrorist Talib Hussain Shah, a resident of Rajouri and his accomplice Faisal Ahmed Dar of Pulwama were apprehended by villagers in July of last year in the remote region of Reasi and turned over to the police. Two AK assault weapons, a pistol, seven grenades, and a significant amount of ammunition were found on them at the time of their capture.

The first submission of the case was concluded at Mahore police station in Reasi and it was later moved to SIA Jammu. Talib Hussain Shah was one of the four terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who were named in a charge sheet the agency submitted in December of the previous year.

Mohammad Qasim and Zia-ul-Rehman had earlier escaped to Pakistan, according to the SIA’s charge sheet, which stated that this was discovered during the inquiry. Talib Hussain Shah and his companions once utilised drones to smuggle weapons and explosives across the border. The probe further showed that he had recruited several local youths to resurrect insurgency in the Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal regions of Jammu division on the orders of handlers located in Pakistan.

After foreign minister, China’s Defense Minister vanishes, fuelling speculations about his removal

0

China’s Defense Minister, Li Shangfu, has been conspicuously missing for over two weeks, triggering substantial conjecture about his location and potential implications for his standing within China‘s political hierarchy. This development follows closely after the mysterious vanishing of Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, who was subsequently removed from his position without any disclosed information regarding his whereabouts.

After Defense Minister Li’s absence, Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the importance of upholding a “high standard of ethics and cohesion within the armed forces” while emphasizing the imperative of maintaining stability and security within the military during a speech delivered on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Taking it to X USA’s ambassador in Japan posted, “President Xi’s cabinet lineup is now resembling Agatha Christie’s novel And Then There Were None. First, Foreign Minister Qin Gang goes missing, then the Rocket Force commanders go missing, and now Defense Minister Li Shangfu hasn’t been seen in public for two weeks. Who’s going to win this unemployment race? China’s youth or Xi’s cabinet?”

According to a report published by the Financial Times, the U.S. government holds the belief that Li is currently subject to an investigation. The report said, “Three US officials and two people briefed on the intelligence said the US had concluded that Li, who has not been seen in public for more than two weeks, had been stripped of his responsibilities as defence minister.”

Li Shangfu joined the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in August 1982 and possesses a Doctor of Engineering degree. Additionally, he is a member of the current Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. This committee comprises the highest-ranking leaders.

During the speculation of Li Shangfu’s potential promotion to a ministerial position in March 2023, his father held a prominent position as a top general in the PLA’s railway force. Li’s most recent public appearance took place on August 29 when he delivered a keynote address at the 3rd China-Africa Peace and Security Forum in Beijing. After that, he went missing.

Li’s prolonged absence is under close scrutiny, especially by the United States, which has not rescinded the sanctions imposed on him in 2018 for his procurement of weapons from Russia’s primary arms exporter. Chinese officials have consistently expressed their desire for the removal of these sanctions to enhance dialogues between the military counterparts of both nations. In June, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin attempted to engage in discussions with Li during a defence conference in Singapore, but the interaction did not progress beyond a handshake.

On Thursday, September 14, 2023, Vietnamese officials reported that Li had unexpectedly cancelled a meeting the previous week, citing a “health condition” as the reason. Back in 2018, during his tenure as the head of the PLA’s primary department responsible for weapon procurement and development, the Trump administration in the USA imposed sanctions on Li in relation to China’s acquisition of Russian weaponry.

Li Shangfu is the second minister of China to go missing in the last few months. Chinese foreign minister Qin Gang went missing from public view in June. He was missing for a month and a half before he was removed from the post in July 2023. Qin has remained out of the public eye since June 25, which marked his last public appearance when he held a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko in Beijing. Known for his proximity to President Xi, Qin assumed the role of foreign minister in December 2022. The 57-year-old diplomat, who has spent several years serving at the Chinese embassy in London, boasts fluency in English.

Qin gained notoriety as a “Wolf Warrior,” a moniker attributed to a contemporary cadre of Chinese diplomats known for responding vigorously, at times with incendiary rhetoric, to Western censure of Beijing. His sudden removal from office occurred without an officially disclosed reason, although there were circulating speculations suggesting that the diplomat’s purported involvement in an affair with a prominent television anchor may have led to his predicament.

Politicians mysteriously disappearing from public life is not new in China. Xi Jinping had similarly disappeared from public sight for a two-week period prior to assuming the role of Chinese President in 2012. This absence sparked rumours regarding his well-being and the potential existence of power struggles within the Communist Party.

‘No power in the world can destroy it’: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sanatana Dharma amid row over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s disparaging comment

0

Amid the debate and political row over DMK minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh termed it as unfortunate and said that Sanatana Dharma is eternal, and no power in the world can destroy it.

“It is very unfortunate…Sanatana Dharma has given the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, meaning the whole world is our family,” Rajanth Singh said.

He further asserted that Sanatana Dharma is eternal. No power in the world can destroy it.

“Our mothers and sisters when they knead the dough and if an ant passes nearby give it a small portion of flour to eat…Sanatana Dharma is eternal. No power in the world can destroy it,” he added.

The DMK leader Udhayanidhi’s remark on Sanatana Dharma sparked massive controversy across the nation with several BJP leaders and Hindu priests strongly criticising his statement.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, earlier on September 2 called for the ‘eradication’ of the Sanatan Dharma and equated it with diseases like dengue and malaria, inviting sharp criticism from BJP leaders.

“I thank the organisers of this conference for giving me the opportunity to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference’ rather than ‘Anti-Sanatana Conference’, I appreciate that,” Udhayanidhi said.

He further said, “Few things cannot be opposed, that should be abolished only. We can’t oppose Dengue, Mosquitoes, Malaria, or Corona, we have to eradicate this that’s how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather opposing Sanatana it should be eradicated.”

Udhayanidhi, however, later accused the BJP of ‘twisting’ his statement and spreading fake news while adding that he is ready to face whatever cases are filed against him.

Libya floods: Death toll in Derna reaches 11,300, over 10,000 people still missing

0

The death toll in Derna, a coastal city in Libya, has risen to 11,300 as search efforts continue in the wake of a catastrophic flood caused by the breaching of two dams after heavy rains, Al Jazeera reported citing The Libyan Red Crescent.

Another 10,100 individuals are listed as missing in the Mediterranean city, said Marie el-Drese, the secretary-general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Libya. The previous death toll estimate from health authorities for Derna was 5,500. About 170 additional individuals were killed by the storm elsewhere in the nation.

The figure could reach 20,000, according to Derna’s mayor, Abdel-Moneim al-Ghaithi, given how many neighbourhoods were affected.

On Sunday night, flooding in Derna carried away entire families, exposing vulnerabilities in the oil-rich nation, which has been embroiled in strife ever since a 2011 uprising that deposed long-reigning autocrat Muammar Gaddafi.

One injured victim described how he and his mother were swept away during the late-night experience before they both managed to crawl into an empty building downstream. “Within seconds the water level suddenly rose,” he recalled.

“The water was rising with us until we got to the fourth floor,” the unidentified man said from his hospital bed, in testimony published by the Benghazi Medical Center.

“We could hear screams. From the window, I saw cars and bodies being carried away by the water. It lasted an hour or an hour and a half – but for us, it felt like a year.”

More than 3,000 deaths were reported in Derna, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq al-Kharaz.

“The catastrophe is massive and as a result, access to many areas is not possible. Many areas suffered total damage. Many dead bodies are still under the debris, others washed away into the sea,” al-Kharaz told Al Jazeera.

IFRC said on Friday that emergency workers sifting through the mud and rubble are still hopeful of finding survivors.

Tamar Ramadan, head of the group’s rescue effort in the North African country said, “The hope is there, is always there, to find people alive.”

Access to Derna is still very difficult due to the destruction of roads and bridges as well as the cutting of phone and electricity connections to large areas where at least 30,000 people are now without a place to live.

The United Nations said, “With the collapse of most roads, the municipality [of Derna] is urging relevant authorities to establish a sea corridor for emergency relief and evacuations”.

Petteri Taalas, UN’s World Meteorological Organisation chief said that many fatalities could have been avoided if warning was issued earlier and emergency management systems had functioned properly in the war-scarred country, Al Jazeera reported.

With better coordination, “they could have issued the warnings and the emergency management forces would have been able to carry out the evacuation of the people, and we could have avoided most of the human casualties,” said Taalas, according to Al Jazeera.

‘Restore graveyard land in name of Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj temple’: Allahabad HC directs Mathura admin to correct land records

On Friday, September 15, the Allahabad High Court ordered the Chhata tehsil officials in Mathura to modify revenue records to reflect the plot of land in the name of the Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj temple that had been incorrectly labelled as a Qabristan, or Muslim graveyard.

A single bench of Justice Saurabh Srivastava issued the order in response to a plea submitted by Shri Bihari ji Sewa Trust, Mathura, which stated that the temple land’s ownership was changed in revenue records in the year 2004.

On August 11, 2023, the Allahabad High Court ordered the Chhata tehsildar of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh to provide an explanation on how the ownership of the Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj temple land was altered in revenue records in 2004 in the name of a Qabristan, or Muslim graveyard.

Notably, the writ petition filed by Shri Bihari ji Sewa Trust, Mathura had urged the court to direct revenue authorities in Chhata, Mathura, to rectify the revenue entry that had been made ‘illegally’ against the Qabristan instead of the Banke Bihari Ji Maharaj Temple.

According to the Shri Bihari Ji Seva Trust, Plot number 1081 was recorded in the name of Banke Bihari Maharaj from ancient times. Bhola Khan Pathan, in collusion with revenue officials, had the said site registered as a graveyard in 2004.

The temple trust filed an objection after receiving the information. The matter was escalated to the Waqf Board, and a seven-member committee investigated and discovered that the graveyard was incorrectly registered. Despite this, Bihari ji’s name was not recorded on the land. Subsequently, a petition has been filed.

Manipur violence: SC says journalists can’t be prosecuted even if their report is false, calls the complaint ‘a counter-narrative of the govt’

0

On Friday, September 15, the Supreme Court of India came out to defend the Editors Guild journalists namely Seema Guha, Sanjay Kapoor, Bharat Bhushan, and the president of the Editors’ Guild of India against whom an FIR was filed over its lopsided report on Manipur violence. A bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud orally remarked that prosecuting journalists under Section 153A of the IPC for making false statements in an article would be ‘egregious’.

The apex court was hearing a petition filed by the members of EGI, who sought the quashing of the case against them and protection from any coercive action by the Manipur Police.

“Even if EGI’s report is assumed to be false, making false statements in an article, by itself, was not an offence under Section 153A of the IPC,” the bench stated.

Calling the complaint filed against the Editors Guild journalist “a counter-narrative of the government,” the Supreme Court bench granted two weeks to the Manipur police and the complainant to file their response in the matter. Till then, the Court extended the interim order granting protection to the EGI journalists from coercive actions based on the FIR.

Tushar Mehta, the Solicitor General, objected to the Supreme Court hearing the petition. He advised the petitioners to seek help from the Manipur High Court.

Senior counsel Guru Krishnakumar, who appeared on behalf of the complainant, stated that his client would withdraw the charge if the EGI reversed its report, which was released on September 2.

Furthermore, he claimed that the EGI report aggravated the situation in Manipur and that a curfew had to be reinstated in the state after the report was published.

FIR filed against the Editors Guild of India over its lopsided report on Manipur violence

Notably, on 4th September, Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh announced that the state government has filed an FIR against the members of the Editors Guild for “trying to create more clashes in the state”. The FIR has been registered based on a complaint submitted under Sections 153A, 200, 295, 298, 505, 505(1), 499, 120B of the Indian Penal Code and 66A of the IT Act against Seema Guha, Sanjay Kapoor, Bharat Bhushan, and the president of Editors’ Guild of India.

EGI report and the errors

Three fact-finding team members commissioned by the Editors’ Guild of India to investigate media coverage of an ethnic conflict in Manipur have been accused of submitting a “false, fabricated and sponsored” report. The report, released on Saturday, September 2 suggested that the state government had taken sides during the conflict and criticized it for failing to represent the entire state. Imphal-based social worker N Sarat Singh filed a police case against the three journalists – Seema Guha, Sanjay Kapoor, and Bharat Bhushan – alleging that the report contained errors.

Love jihad in UP: Afsar Raini traps minor Hindu girl pretending to be Rahul, rapes her and forces to wear hijab, threatens to burn her alive

0

A shocking case of love jihad has come to light in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh where a 22-year-old Muslim man named Afsar Raini pretended to be Rahul and befriended a minor Hindu girl after which he tricked her into a relationship and raped her. Furthermore, he recorded obscene video of the 16-year-old and utilised it to sexually assault her for four years. She is now 20 years old.

He threatened to release the footage on social media if she didn’t comply with his perverted wishes. The police have presently registered a case after receiving a complaint about the matter and an investigation is underway.

He used to force the victim to meet with him whenever she declined and warned that he would make her clip viral on the Internet. He also threatened to kill her and burn her alive when she told him to marry her. He even pressured her to wear the hijab.

The girl is a resident of Charkhari town and first met Afsar Raini who lived in the neighbourhood of Amarganj four years ago when he introduced himself as a Hindu. She asked him for marriage after she reached adulthood, but he rejected and threatened her. She was shocked to learn the real identity of the perpetrator from another girl which was only ten days ago.

Her family members were indignant after they came to know about the truth. They have filed a case against the offender under various sections including that of rape and Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. They have demanded justice from the police and asked for strict action against the Muslim individual. They asserted that their daughter was a target of love jihad.

She was taken to Brij Bhushan Rajput, a local Bharatiya Janata Party MLA by her father. She was sent to the police station by him after she narrated her ordeal. He has also written a letter to the District Magistrate that bulldozer action should be initiated and the accused’s residence should be demolished. He has charged Afsar Raini of sexually violating the victim by luring her into a love trap and pressuring her to wear the hijab when she attained adulthood.

He added that in a similar occurrence, a Muslim youth raped a girl and threatened to kill her. She was also sexually assaulted 15 days ago. He urged that action should be taken to bulldoze the houses of these culprits. He has also issued a statement regarding the issue and termed it love jihad. He has sought strict action in the sensitive case.

At present, the authorities are probing the instance very seriously. Police station in-charge Ganesh Prasad informed that a report has been registered against the accused. A team has been deployed to search for him and he will be nabbed soon.

Gujarat: Imran, Niaz, and Mohammad among 11 arrested for attack on Shiv Yatra in Thasra; huge pile of stones recovered from madarsa roof

0

On 15 September 2023, the final day of the Shravan month, a Muslim mob attacked a Lord Shiva procession in Thasra, Gujarat. The police have started an investigation into this case. Three FIRs have been lodged in connection with the incident, resulting in the arrest of 11 suspects. Concurrently, authorities have also scrutinised the madarsa from which the stones were hurled, discovering a significant quantity of stones on its roof.

As per media accounts, the police, while investigating the madrasa from where stones were thrown at the Hindu procession in Thasra, discovered a substantial quantity of stones on Saturday, September 16, 2023, during a site inspection conducted by a police team in the morning hours.

In the surfaced video, a substantial quantity of stones is visibly present on the madarsa’s rooftop. Notably, this location is situated just 200 meters away from the railway tracks, raising suspicions that the stones may have been transported from there to the madarsa. Currently, the police are intensifying their investigation to determine the source of these numerous stones that ended up at the madrasa. Furthermore, there is a growing suspicion that this incident might have been premeditated as part of a larger conspiracy. It’s worth noting that in some instances, this madarsa is referred to as a mosque.

11 arrested in connection with the Thasra stone pelting case

A total of 11 individuals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the stone-pelting incident. They have been identified as Syed Niaz Ali Mahbubali, Pathan Imran Khan Ali Khan, Syed Irshad Ali Qamar Ali, Syed Shakeel Ahmed Asif Ali, Malek Shabbirhussain Ahmadmiyan, Sayyid Mohammad Amin Mansur Ali, Sayyid Mohammad Aqeef Liaquat Ali, and Sayyid Mohammadaqaif Liaquat Ali.

The Thasra police have registered a total of three FIRs concerning this matter. Among them, one was initiated based on complaints from the Hindu community, another on the police’s own accord, and the third was based on a complaint that came from the Muslim community.

In the complaint lodged by the Hindu party, it is alleged that when the yatra approached the vicinity of the madrasa, approximately 50 individuals from the Muslim community forcefully entered the scene and assaulted them, demanding to turn off the DJ music. Upon their return, stones were hurled from the madarsa and the surrounding terraces towards the yatra.

Also, there were vociferous slogans raised by Muslim mobs about harming Hindus, demanding the cessation of the procession, and calls to kill them all, as stated in the complaint. In this incident, three police officers were hurt, including two officers and one PSI. However, it is unknown whether any devotees were hurt.

First joint public rally of I.N.D.I. Alliance scheduled in Bhopal cancelled, MP CM says it is due to anger of people over ‘eradicate Sanatan’ remarks

0

Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and state Congress chief Kamal Nath has said that the INDIA bloc comprising over two dozen opposition parties’ first joint public meeting in Madhya Pradesh has been cancelled.

Nath made the remark while talking to reporters in the state capital Bhopal on Saturday.

On being asked about the INDIA rally in the state, Nath said, “The rally is not going to happen. It has been cancelled.”

Earlier, INDIA bloc had decided to hold their first joint public meeting in Bhopal in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh in the first week of October and said the constituent parties would start seat-sharing talks at the earliest.

The first meeting of the Coordination Committee of INDIA was held at NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s residence in the national capital.

After the INDIA Alliance Coordination Committee meeting, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that the Committee has decided to start the process for determining seat-sharing “at the earliest”.

“The first meeting of the Coordination Committee was held at the residence of Sharad Pawar and attended by 12 members parties. Abhishek Banerjee of All India Trinamool Congress could not attend the meeting due to a summon by the Enforcement Directorate, arising out of the vendetta politics of Bharatiya Janata Party,” the joint statement read.

“The Coordination Committee has decided to start the process for determining seat-sharing. It was decided that member parties would hold talks and decide at the earliest,” it stated.

“The committee decided to hold joint public meetings in different parts of the country. The first public meeting will be held at Bhopal in the first week of October on the issues of rising prices, unemployment and corruption of the BJP government,” it said.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a jibe at the INDIA bloc and said there was anger among the public that is why they cancelled the rally.

“This is anger of the public. Sanatan Dharma was insulted and was called dengue and Malaria. The people of Madhya Pradesh will not tolerate this insult of Sanatan Dharma. INDI alliance must understand that they have hurt our faith and this won’t be tolerated at any cost. People of MP are angry and they (INDIA alliance) were scared that anger might not appear therefore they cancelled their rally. The public’s anger is against the INDI bloc and congress. The public will not leave them,” CM Chouhan said.

The opposition’s leadership has no strength. Wherever elections are held in BJP, everyone gets involved in work. There is a lot of chaos in Congress. They are fighting among themselves, whose photo is included and whose photo is not in posters, he added.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting the state, BJP National President JP Nadda is arriving, everyone is united in the BJP, Chouhan said.
