Congress workers beat up journalist even as Rahul Gandhi does drama of helping injured journalists

Even as Rahul Gandhi continues to indulge in empty photo-ops where he is seen “helping injured” journalists, at an election meeting in Tamil Nadu, a photo-journalist was thrashed by Congress workers for taking pictures of empty chairs. The journalist was from a Tamil weekly magazine and in a video that has now gone viral, Congress workers can be seen beating him up mercilessly for clicking photographs of empty chairs at the election rally.

Tamil Nadu Congress President KS Alagiri was reportedly to participate in a public meeting at Virudhunagar where there were plenty of empty chairs. The photo-journalist from a Tamil Nadu weekly took pictures where Congress workers indulged in shocking high-handedness and thrashed the journalist. The incident, according to India Today, happened April 6th 2019, Saturday.

The journalist, according to India Today, has been identified as RM Muthuraj.

While Congress has been caught roughing up a journalist just trying to do his job, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been indulging in the drama of helping journalists who were reportedly ‘injured’.

Interestingly, journalists seem to miraculously get injured right where and when Rahul Gandhi is surrounded by several cameras.

In fact, in the first video of Rahul Gandhi helping a journalist surfaced, the journalist was caught on camera asking Rahul Gandhi to wipe his forehead again so he could “use the footage”.

Rahul Gandhi’s fake sympathy for journalists was also exposed when he indulged in name-calling after ANI Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash had interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress President Rahul Gandhi in his press conference after embarrassing himself in the Parliament on the Rafale deal referred to Prakash as a ‘pliable journalist’ for her interview with PM Modi. Pliable means the one who can be bent easily, someone who’s flexible.

Recently, in the 2019 Election Manifesto, Rahul Gandhi made his views on the media and freedom of expression rather evident. In the manifesto, Congress has mentioned categorically that for them, slogans like ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’ is freedom of speech, however, the media needs a code of conduct that is enforceable by the government. They also included that they would crack down on social media while allowing seditious and treasonous speech to carry on unabetted.

It is thus evident that Congress would much rather have journalists be controlled by their government while allowing seditious elements to run amuck. This latest incident of Congress workers thrashing a journalist merely for taking pictures of their rally is yet another proof of that.

More than 300 Income Tax sleuths conduct raids on Kamal Nath’s associates, cash filled in suitcases recovered: Reports

The Income-Tax (I-T) Department is in the process of conducting raids in 50 locations connected to Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath. According to reports, searches are underway at locations of MP Chief Minister’s OSD, Ratul Puri (Kamal Nath’s nephew), Amira Group, and Moser Bayer. Searches also underway in Bhopal, Indore, Goa and 35 locations in Delhi. More than 300 I-T officials conducting the searches, reported ANI.

Cash stuffed in suitcases has also been recovered from one Prateek Joshi from Bhopal.

The Enforcement Directorate had on Thursday questioned businessman Ratul Puri, nephew of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath in connection with the Rs 3600 crore AgustaWestland scam. On Friday, Ratul Puri was summoned for questioning a second time.

Ratul Puri had said that he is cooperating with the investigation and had nothing to do with defence deals. “I am cooperating with the investigation and will continue to cooperate. I have no connection with defence (deals) and no business dealings with my relatives, I run an independent business. I will cooperate fully with ED and any other government authority that seeks any information from me or asks me for any clarifications. I have no connection with AgustaWestland or defence”, he had said.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate tracked down the money trail of kickbacks received by Christian Michel, the prime accused middleman in the AgustaWestland chopper scam, and it has led them to Moser Baer which is owned by Deepak Puri. It was reported that a part of the kickbacks was routed through Moser Baer which is owned by Deepak Puri. Deepak Puri is the brother-in-law of senior Congress leader Kamal Nath. Puri is married to Nita Puri, sister of Senior Congress Leader and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr Kamal Nath and have one son Ratul Puri. Both Nita and Ratul are part of Moser Baer.

Michel was extradited to India on 4 December from United Arab Emirates (UAE). Recently it was also unearthed that, Christian Michel’s involvement was not only restricted to AgustaWestland scam. He had also lobbied against France-based Rafale in order to enable Eurofighter, its rival, to grab the MMRCA deal. On 5th January, the Patiala House Court had extended Michel’s judicial custody till February 26.

Christian Michel, the middleman in the AgustaWestland VVIP Chopper scam, who was extradited from Dubai, has been spilling the beans and his correspondence from the time when this deal was in consideration has made some stunning revelations. Earlier, it was reported how Michel had access to Cabinet Meetings, Cabinet Committee on Security meetings and the then PMO under Manmohan Singh. It has now emerged that he also had access to investigative agencies, reported Economic Times.

Rahul Gandhi is a sadist who not only picks on wounds but even rubs salt on them

Poet Ramdhari Singh “Dinkar” wrote,

जब नाश मनुज पर छाता है,
पहले विवेक मर जाता है।

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is a sadist. The kinds who not only finds pleasure in inflicting pains on others but also enjoys watching them writhe in pain from the wounds he inflicts which is then followed by adding insult to injury.

A few weeks back, Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited Goa on a personal trip. He paid a courtesy visit to the then Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar who had been suffering from cancer. While Rahul Gandhi said that he was on a personal visit and Congress even confirmed that the dubious Rafale tapes were not discussed, Rahul later claimed that Parrikar had nothing to do in the new Rafale deal ‘orchestrated by PM Modi’ to ‘benefit Anil Ambani’. This came a day after he tweeted alleging that Parrikar is ‘in possession of explosive Rafale secrets’ which give him power over the PM.

Parrikar, who was recovering from pancreatic cancer, and was putting his heart and soul in serving the nation despite his health not cooperating, was used as a pawn by Rahul Gandhi because he could not fight on facts any longer.

In fact, stooping to a new low, Congress President Rahul Gandhi even dragged late Manohar Parrikar’s name to lie about the Rafale Deal in one of his election rallies held this week. Campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi declared in Nagpur that Parrikar had information of the corruption in the Rafale deal and hence he was distancing himself from the deal.

However, just when we thought Rahul Gandhi couldn’t get any more insensitive, he threw a surprise towards us. While addressing a rally yesterday, Rahul Gandhi said that Narendra Modi hit senior BJP leader L K Advani with shoes and pushed him off the stage. One would’ve thought it was perhaps a slip of tongue and perhaps Congress President didn’t really mean what he said. However, he repeated the vile jibe today.

Rahul Gandhi for reasons best known to him invokes ‘Hindu dharm’ and says, “In Hinduism, guru (teacher) is considered most important. Advani jee is Narendra Modi’s guru. Have you seen Advani jee’s situation now? Advani jee has been kicked off from the stage.” Rahul Gandhi was perhaps referring to the fact that this time, it will be BJP President Amit Shah who would be fighting from Gandhinagar constituency, a seat from where L K Advani has been an MP for 6 times.

To put things in perspective, L K Advani, born on November 8, 1927, is 91 years old. In last five years, he has hardly been involved in active politics. Should he be chosen as a candidate, at 91, he would have to face the harsh heat of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar, participate in road shows, campaign. Moreover, it is only natural for people to retire after decades of active public life and make way for newer faces and leaders.

But to portray it as ‘unceremonious’ removal of Advani is an attempt by Rahul Gandhi to taunt Advani that the people who were trained by him have taken over and he is pushed in a corner. How can you push the 91-year-old stalwart who has been a strong pillar of a foundation of a political movement which changed the political landscape ‘off the stage’? To insinuate Advani’s retirement from active politics as being ‘kicked out’ and ‘beaten up by shoes before throwing out’ is not only insensitive but more disrespectful of the person he pretends to be respecting.

And speaking of respecting the elders, Congress President Rahul Gandhi could probably start from closer home. In December 1997 Sonia Gandhi joined Congress formally and addressed her first election rally in Tamil Nadu. Soon, Sitaram Kesri, who was the Congress party president, was being forced to step down to make way for Sonia Gandhi to become the party president. At 82, Kesri wanted to stick around as party president a little longer.

On March 14, 1998, Congress Working Committee decided to ask Kesir to step down so Sonia could take over. He was reportedly locked up in the bathroom at Congress headquarters in Akbar Road so he could not stop Sonia from entering the office with her supporters to take over as party president.

Clearly, Hindu dharma does not teach you to lock up an 82-year-old in bathroom to gain power, right? Neither does not teach you to disrespect the dead.

Former Congress President and Rahul Gandhi’s mother Sonia Gandhi loathed former Prime Minister and Congress President P.V. Narasimha Rao enough to not allow his mortal remains to enter the AICC (All India Congress Committee) compound. His body stayed parked in a carriage outside the gate. There was no state funeral for him, whereas Sanjay Gandhi, who forced sterilization during the Emergency and was just an MP from Amethi for little over six months got a state funeral and a samadhi in Delhi. Sonia Gandhi, it is believed, was ‘upset‘ about the way the investigation on Rajiv Gandhi assassination had proceeded.

Rao passed away on 23rd December 2004. On 27th December 2004, M D Nalapat, Indian academic and columnist wrote (emphasis added):

In fact, despite being a former AICC president and a prime minister, Narasimha Rao was not just excluded from the Congress Working Commitee since the current heir to the Nehru dynasty took charge of the party in 1998, he was not even allowed to become one of the numerous ‘special invitees’, most of whom get selected for their cheerleader skills rather than any other contribution.

Nalapat talks about the death of Rao and the posthumous humiliation by Congress under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi (emphasis added):

Sometime after noon on December 23, 13 days after he had been brought to the hospital early in the morning following a cardiac incident, PV decided to call it quits. It was more than an hour before the doctors finally did.

Strangely — or perhaps entirely expectedly — despite a special Union Cabinet meeting at 3 pm on the subject of his funeral, at his 9 Motilal Nehru Marg home there were no arrangements made to receive the body and place it on a platform, nor flowers, nor any laying out of carpets by the administration for the mourning crowds to sit down on, nor even a shamiana on the lawns.

Finally, Kishore, a friend of PV’s, made arrangements for both. The shamiana could get erected only by 8.15 pm. Carpets and flowers too were provided by family and friends and not by what seemed to be a totally bankrupt Government of India. As if to atone for his visible helplessness, the prime minister, Sardar Manmohan Singh, looked visibly moved as he quietly remained by the side of the body, which had been brought in from the hospital a little before 5 pm. As a gesture of supreme graciousness, Sonia Gandhi turned up and even stayed for a few minutes.

While some of those present then may be made to deny this later, the fact is that the family members — as well as the crowd of mourners — would have been happy to see the father of economic reform and the first prime minister from the south in the history of Free India be given the same honours as Sanjay Gandhi and Charan Singh, a State funeral in New Delhi and an appropriate memorial.

And the final humiliation of Rao before his remains left for Hyderabad (emphasis added):

The next day, December 24, the body of the former Congress prime minister was brought to the gates of the AICC office at 24, Akbar Road and kept there for 20 minutes, ‘to pay homage.’ Apparently, the body was so heavy that it would not have been possible to lift what was left of PV from the gun carriage into the Congress headquarters, which would have been the civilised thing to do.

After this final humiliation, P V Narasimha Rao left New Delhi for Hyderabad, this time for good.

Ten years after he died, it was in 2015 when the former Prime Minister got a memorial in Delhi, that too by NDA government led by Narendra Modi.

For the privileged and protected life that Rahul Gandhi has lived, it seems the struggles others had to face to reach the place where they are is not relatable. How can the man who was one of the persons responsible for building the political party just give up his seat in favour of a man who started his political journey as a booth worker? Perhaps the concept of a man who has spent his lifetime in public service retire with grace alien to the dynast who has always seen the politics as family business where it only changes hands amongst the family members. After all, the Gandhis have spent their lifetimes cashing in on the work of the others.

While Congress blames BJP for ‘politicisation of armed forces’, Urmila uses Wing Commander Abhinandan’s picture for campaigning

While the senior Congress leaders are busy mouthing off platitudes regarding the supposed politicisation of the Armed Forces, the newest leaders to join Congress, an erstwhile Bollywood actor, Urmila Matondkar didn’t flinch from using the posters of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in her campaign rally.

Wing Commander Abhinandan was held for over 2 days in captivity by Pakistan after which he was released unconditionally by Pakistan owing to the strong stand taken by the Indian government.

So while the opposition continues to attack PM Modi, citing that his mention of Armed Forces in the campaign rallies is in violation of the Model Code of Conduct, its silence over the usage of Wing Commander Abhinandan’s poster for their political gain is conspicuous.

Urmila’s showcasing of celebrating the Hindu festival also drew reactions on social media as she had claimed that Hinduism has become the most violent religion.

In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force had conducted air strikes deep inside Pakistan, killing hundreds of Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists. In response to this, Pakistan had sent a fleet of Falcons to target Indian Army’s military assets. The attack was thwarted by Indian Air Forces’ patrol team which chased the F-16s, forcing them to retreat. In the ensuing dogfight, Wing Commander Abhinandan downed an F-16 before his jet got crashed in the PoK. Abhinandan was caught by the Pakistani forces.

Despite overwhelming evidence, several Congress leaders have questioned the veracity of the Balakot strikes, undermining the Indian Air Force and providing enough ammunition to Pakistan and its leaders to dismiss the claims made by the Indian establishment.

Digvijaya Singh, Kapil Sibal, Kamal Nath, Ashok Gehlot are some of the senior Congress leaders who questioned the authenticity of Balakot airstrikes. Advisor to Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s mentor, Sam Pitroda not only doubted the Indian Air Force’s claim regarding the Balakot airstrike, but he also appeared to trivialise the Pulwama attack, asserting that entire Pakistan cannot be held responsible for an attack by a few.

The Congress in their manifesto has also talked about pruning down of the Armed Forces deployment numbers in the Valley and dilution of AFSPA in the sensitive regions of Jammu and Kashmir. It has also accused the armed forces of perpetrating sexual violence. The Indian Army has already registered a strong objection to the Congress manifesto, asserting that it will exacerbate the situation in Kashmir.

This dichotomy vis-a-vis Indian Armed Forces is typical of the Congress modus operandi. On one hand, they undermine the armed forces by doubting their valour, leveling heinous allegations on them, whereas, on the other hand, they use the posters of the Jawans, politicise the activities carried out to solicit votes in the name of the sacrifices made by them.

Congress leader Nagma Morarji caught spreading Photoshopped image to peddle anti-Modi agenda

Congress leader Nagma Morarji today was caught spreading a morphed image of BJP leader Sambit Patra to peddle an anti-Modi agenda.

Nagma Morarji, Congress leader, caught spreading fake image

In the above image, Congress leader Nagma Morarji is caught spreading lies that BJP leader Sambit Patra ‘exposes’ Modi’s ‘lies’ in a single picture by having food on the roadside from a homeless couple which is made on a chulha instead of an LPG stove.

The image Nagma has shared has a watermark ‘@Ind_Arya’. OpIndia found the above image posted on @Ind_Arya’s timeline with the text, “Sambit Patra has announced that he will eat while sitting on the footpath and even sleep on a footpath”

On further investigation it was found that @Ind_Arya had merged two pictures which then went viral and was eventually shared by Nagma as a real picture without verifying its authenticity.

Patra’s images were posted by Patra himself on his Twitter account on March 31 during his election trip in Odisha.

The photo of the couple sitting on the pavement which was taken from an article published by India.com.

The image of the homeless couple as published in the India.com

Actor-turned-politician Nagma recently came back into the limelight when she questioned the heroics of the armed forces in carrying out the surgical strikes on the terrorist camps inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Nagma went to claim that previous governments had also carried out similar surgical strikes.

With the first phase of voting just a few days away it is unfortunate that Congress leaders instead of being responsible are busy spreading fake images on Twitter without verifying.

Shatrughan Sinha finally joins Congress officially, to contest from Patna Sahib seat

Shunned by the BJP for his rebellious tendencies, the actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha today officially joined the Congress party. In a list of candidates released by the Congress party today, Shatrughan Sinha is featured as the Congress candidate for Lok Sabha elections from the Patna Sahib constituency against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The BJP was putting up with Shatrughan Sinha’s defiance for a very long time. Shatrughan Sinha was often cited in political rallies organised by opposition parties, echoing anti-government remarks and hailing opposition leaders. Action against him was inevitable as Sinha continued to defy party guidelines.

Sinha was given the boot when the BJP announced Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s candidature from the Patna Sahib constituency. Sinha had declared that he will contest from Patna Sahib seat from a different party’s ticket. Before this, Sinha was also enraged with the BJP when his VIP facility at Patna airport was withdrawn.

Since then, speculations of him joining the Congress party were rife. Now that the Congress has declared Sinha’s candidature from the Patna Sahib constituency, the battle for Patna Sahib between Sinha and BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad will be one of the most interesting contests in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Notice issued to MP Law Minister for ‘offering’ jobs to Congress booth workers

Madhya Pradesh Law Minister PC Sharma has been reportedly issued a notice by District Collector Sudam Khade for violating the Model Code of Conduct by allegedly promising jobs to Congress booth workers. While speaking at a Party Convention at Narmada Bhavan in the presence of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh and former Union Minister Suresh Pachouri, Sharma had said that all those Congress workers who work at the polling booths would be provided jobs in the coming four and a half years.

Defending his statement, Sharma said that unemployment is a big problem today and that is why he urged the Congress government to provide jobs to the booth-level workers of the party. “Government, private or anything, it would be responsible to provide jobs to all those who work at booths for the party. Unemployment is the biggest problem we are facing. If I meet 10 people in a day, six of them ask for jobs. I would urge the Congress government in the state to provide jobs to all those who work at the booth-level for the Congress”, the Law Minister said.

District Collector Khade said that he had received a complaint in this regard. “We had received a complaint in this regard, on the basis of which notice has been served on the minister. He reportedly offered jobs to party workers who ensure a great number of votes to Congress at their booths”, said DC Khade.

Calling Sharma’s statement a violation of Model Code of Conduct, the State BJP has said that they would file a complaint with the Election Commission. “If the minister is openly saying that each booth worker will be offered a job, it is definitely a violation of model code. We will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission. They are just trying to gain brownie points in front of Digvijaya Singh but while doing that they are making a mockery of the Constitution,” told BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma.

Last year, soon after the Congress government was formed in Madhya Pradesh, Sharma had said that all the cases that were filed against Congress workers during the BJP government’s tenure would be withdrawn.

Former Congress leader and Christian Michel’s lawyer threatens Republic TV journalist

Republic TV journalist Nalini Sharma was allegedly threatened by former Congress leader and lawyer of AgustaWestland middleman Christian Michel, Aljo K Joseph, for asking questions.

The journalist shared her interaction with Joseph on Twitter.

Joseph is claimed to have told Sharma, “I’m an arrogant man. You have not seen my arrogance yet. Warning you, don’t do this.” Joseph was expelled by the party after his links to Congress gathered a lot of attention on social media when he appeared in court to represent Michel.

The Congress party has a history of its leaders threatening journalists. Last year in November, a spokesperson of the party had threatened a journalist during a debate on Zee News. In June, a journalist was attacked at Congress headquarters after being accused of being a Modi Bhakt. Not merely journalists, the Congress party has threatened bureaucrats with consequences as well should it return to power in 2019.

The party also appears to have a particular grudge against Republic TV journalists. An India Today journalist had once shielded Mani Shankar Aiyar from pressing questions asked by a Republic TV reporter and the Congress leader had happily praised the journalist for shielding him. It is notable here that the journalists from Republic TV have been abused and manhandled on several occasions by leftists and their supporters, including Congress workers.

Narendra Modi didn’t look after his wife, how will he look after masses? Mamata Banerjee’s personal attack on PM Modi

In a personal attack on Prime Minister Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said he ‘neglected his wife’, how will he take care of masses. Banerjee was speaking in West Bengal’s Alipurduar.

Calling Prime Minister Modi ‘a liar’, Banerjee said that TMC will lead the formation of the new government in Centre after defeating Modi.

It is not new for the Opposition party leaders and supporters to take personal digs at PM Modi and bring in his estranged wife, a private individual, in political mudslinging. As per reports, back in 2017, Congress had tried to rope in Jashodaben to contest the Gujarat state assembly elections.

Later, stooping to a new low, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, too, dragged Jashodaben in his political fight. AAP leader Somnath Bharti was caught on camera referring to a Sudarshan News channel journalist to ‘take to prostitution’ for asking him an uncomfortable question. After widespread social media outrage, Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal condemned his behaviour. Somnath Bharti then decided to brazen it out and accused PM Modi of ‘imprisoning’ his estranged wife Jashodaben.

At this point, instead of calling out Bharti, Kejriwal had actually encouraged his whataboutery.

It is rather unfortunate to drag the family of politicians into political attacks, especially when the family members are private individuals who have nothing to do with the politician.

Imran Khan continues to lie about IAF downing F-16, now quotes a fake report to prove his point

The Pentagon has claimed it is not aware of any investigation done to determine if Pakistan airforce had lost one of its F-16s in the dogfight with the Indian Air Force in February. The declaration by the US State Defence Department comes in stark contrast to a report published by foreignpolicy yesterday, alleging that India didn’t shoot any F-16 jets and the US count revealed none of the jets missing.

Citing unidentified defence officials, Foreign Policy magazine had quoted them claiming that the US personnel counted Pakistan’s F-16 fleet and found none missing. The findings contrasted the Indian version which claimed that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman managed to down a Pakistani F-16 with his MiG-21 Bison in the dogfight.

Following the FP report, many Indian media outlets, having a hostile disposition towards the Modi government, lapped up this lie and used it to ridicule the government over the claims made by it regarding the downing of a Pakistani Falcon by Indian MiG-21 Bison.

Via Twitter

Even the Pakistan PM Imran Khan has joined the bandwagon to perpetuate the lie peddled by the Foreign Policy Magazine. Citing the report which has already been debunked by the US defence department, Khan went on to discredit the Indian claim of downing a Pakistani F-16 in a tweet posted by him.

A report by Hindustan Times quotes US defence department spokesperson who claims that the department “wasn’t aware of any investigation” as mentioned by the two unidentified defence officials in the FP report. Distancing itself from the reports of investigation of the count of F-16s retained by Pakistan, the stte Department also said, “According to the policy, the Department does not publicly comment on details of government-to-government agreements on end-use monitoring of US-origin defence articles.” The Department further reiterated that since January 2018, the US government has abandoned providing security assistance to Pakistan.

Moreover, the US government appears to have maintained the Indian stance, reaffirming its account of the downing of the Pakistani F-16, citing “electronic signature” as evidence.

India had sent its fighter jets after detecting electronic signatures of Pakistani jets approaching the LoC. In the ensuing dogfight, India’s MiG-21 Bison has reportedly downed a Pakistani F-16. The Indian government had yesterday also refuted the FP report, reiterating that it has enough evidence to show that a Pakistani F-16 didn’t return to its base.

India has already shared the details of the residual Advanced Medium Range Air to Air missile (AMRAAM) shot by one of the intruding Falcons with the US authorities through the established intelligence-sharing mechanism. The details of the recovered missile hints to the consignment lot the US had sold to Pakistan. India also had radar signatures of F-16s but that was not shared with the US owing to the security of the Indian Air Force.
