Hathras: Who is Surajpal alias ‘Bhole Baba’ with bhakts including Akhilesh Yadav, the ‘Godman’ at whose Satsang stampede led to over 100 deaths

The stampede at a private religious event in Hathras has now claimed over 100 lives. The number of fatalities is expected to further rise with several more people critically injured and in the hospital. The stampede took place during a Satsang which was being led by a self-styled Godman who goes by various aliases ‘Bhole Baba’ aka Narayan Sakar Hari or Sakaar Vishwa Hari. He is said to be close to several politicians including Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav who has in the past attended his Satsang and hailed him. According to media reports, he has several criminal cases registered against him including heinous cases of sexual exploitation

Who is Surajpal and his ‘spiritual journey’ from a career in state police

Surajpal hails from Bahadur village in Etah district and comes from Jatav samaj. He claims to be a former employee of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). However, as per reports, he had worked with the state police and allegedly took VRS 26 years ago to begin delivering religious sermons. He then started giving religious and spiritual sermons and changed his maiden name and now goes by various aliases Bhole Baba or Narayan Sakar Hari. There is a dispute about his claims of being in IB with media reports stating that he was allegedly in the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) of the state Police.

Bhole Baba claims that he directly received preachings from the Almighty and is claimed that he is not a follower of any ‘guru’. His Satsangs are referred to as ‘Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavna Samagam.’ They are mostly organised on Tuesdays in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. He is often seen in a white suit, tie, and shoes, and sometimes in kurta-pajama.

He is more popular as ‘Sakar Vishwa Hari Baba’. Bhole Baba is often accompanied by his wife at sermons. As per reports, his followers are mostly people from the lower economic strata. They particularly hail from the Agra and Aligarh divisions of the Braj region.

However, he holds sway in several districts in Uttar Pradesh and adjoining states as well as is close to several politicians. He has followers across western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Several MPs, and MLAs including Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav claim to be his devotees/followers and have attended his congregation. After attending his Satsang in 2023, Samajwadi Chief Yadav shared pictures on social media and wrote, “Narayan Sakar Hari ki sampooran brahman me sada sada ke liye jai ho.” (Translation – ‘May there be eternal glory to Narayan Sakar Hari throughout the entire universe.'”

The baba has avoided media scrutiny and has kept media away from his satsangs. He stays away from social media and does not have any official accounts on any platform. His followers claim that his influence is substantial at the grassroots level.

Bhole Baba’s followers also do voluntary work to oversee the arrangements for devotees, including food and drinks. They wear pinkish shirts and pants and white caps. They also manage the traffic and internal arrangements at his congregations.

The baba earlier made headlines for flouting rules during the Covid-19 pandemic and despite permission for less than a hundred followers, it was reported that his Satsang amassed over 50,000 followers.

Speaking with Aaj Tak, former UP DGP Vikram Singh said, “This congregation was an invitation for trouble as arrangements made at the venue were inadequate. Leave aside the ambulance system, even basic police, fire, and medical systems that should be there were not there. Now who will answer this? He claims that earlier he was in Intelligence, Police personnel and then took VRS. Many cases are registered against him.”

The former DGP said, “Now if 100 deaths occur, whose moral and legal responsibility will it be? Baba. There are six cases against him. At least there should be basic police arrangements and transportation routes, and if any disaster occurs, you should have some emergency-related arrangements. This is a matter of extreme concern and grief.”

According to reports, the satsang was organised at his ashram in the Fullerai village of Hathras. The venue was small and overcrowded. Because of the suffocation in small areas in hot and humid weather, the devotees rushed out as soon as the Satsang ended, leading to the stampede.

Inspector General Aligarh Range Shalabh Mathur said prima facie, it appeared that some people felt suffocated at the premises because of the hot and humid weather, and when the ‘satsang’ ended, those inside the enclosure rushed out resulting in a stampede killing mostly the women and children.

BJP MP Santosh Pandey slams Rahul Gandhi over anti-Hindu comment, tells him to recall culprits of Kanhaiya Lal, Praveen Nettaru and more

On Tuesday, 2nd July, BJP MP Santosh Pandey from Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, slammed Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for targeting the Hindu community and calling them violent.

Santosh Pandey, a BJP MP from Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, stated that Rahul Gandhi was exhibiting an image of Lord Shiva in the Lok Sabha and on the other hand his own party CM in Chhattisgarh was betting in the name of Mahadev. The BJP MP, without mentioning Bhupesh Baghel, stated that the public defeated him in the Lok Sabha elections.

Pandey, further, without mentioning any specific religion indicated that major crimes that happened in the recent past had been committed against Hindus. “You are calling Hindus violent? I want to ask who killed Praveen Nettaru in Karnataka. Who beheaded Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan? Who attacked Amarnath pilgrims in Kashmir? You have crossed your limits in the Parliament yesterday. The community will not forget this and will never forgive you,” Santosh Pandey said.

On 1st July, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi provoked outrage in the Lok Sabha with his controversial remarks, forcing a rare intervention from Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking in parliament, Gandhi claimed that individuals who identified as Hindus only talked about violence, bigotry, and lies, prompting Prime Minister Modi to interrupt.

“Those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth,” Gandhi was quoted as saying. To this, PM Modi raised serious objection to Rahul Gandhi’s comments saying, “Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter.”

Gandhi also showed Lord Shiva’s picture in the House after he attacked BJP saying Hinduism is not about spreading fear, hatred, and falsehoods. Further, he displayed placards featuring images of Guru Nanak and Jesus Christ. He was also carrying a placard featuring a quote from the Quran. “All our great men have spoken about non-violence and ending fear. But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, and untruth,” Gandhi said, adding, “Aap Hindu ho hi nahi.” (You are not a Hindu).

Union Minister Amit Shah meanwhile criticized Rahul Gandhi’s comment, insisting on an apology. “The Leader of the Opposition has clearly stated that those who identify as Hindu speak of and commit violence. He is unaware that millions proudly call themselves Hindu. Associating violence with any religion is wrong. He should apologize,” he stated.

‘Balak Buddhi’, scathing attack on ‘ecosystem’, Hinduphobia, Congress’ poor performance in polls and more: Key highlights of PM Modi’s address in Lok Sabha

On Tuesday (2nd July), Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the opposition on a range of issues including the opposition leaders’ controversial remarks on Hindu Dharma, corruption, appeasement, Congress and its ecosystem, etc.

Addressing Lok Sabha, PM Modi said, “In ten years, our government has worked with the philosophy of Sabka Sath, and Sabka Vikas to do public welfare. We are dedicated to those principles which are enshrined in our constitution – Sarva Pant Sambhav. Our nation, for a long time, witnessed the politics of appeasement, the governance model of tushtikaran (appeasement). We have moved ahead with the idea of Santushtikaran not tushtikaran, politics of saturation than appeasement.”

“Saturation in the true sense is social justice and secularism and by electing us for the third time, they have put a stamp on this. Appeasement has wrecked the nation. The country has reflected its trust after seeing our niti, niyat, and nishta. (Policies, Intentions, and commitment)”, the Prime Minister added.

“One of the biggest achievements of my government in the last ten years that infused hope was that of pulling out the country from times of despair that was prevalent till 2014, ‘Is desh ka kuch nhi ho sakta’. Now, they believe, “Ab Bharat me kuch bhi ho sakta”, the PM said.

Stern action on terrorism

PM Modi said that there was a time before 2014 when terrorists carried out attacks at will but the governments used to maintain silence. Now, India carry out surgical strike and airstrike. The country has also demonstrated the capability of serving Justice to perpetrators of terrorism. Now citizens know that to safeguard its security, India can do anything – Bharat kuch bhi kar sakta hai.

The walls of Article 370 have crumbled

Taking about removal of Article 370, the PM said that now, the walls of Article 370 have crumbled, the constitution is vibrant, and stone pelting has stopped. People, expressing faith in the Indian constitution and Indian flag are coming out in large numbers to cast their votes, the Prime Minister said while slamming those who failed to introduce the Indian constitution in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, pre-370 era.

PM Modi emphasised, “In ten years, our government made India a major mobile phone manufacturer, and an exporter of mobile phones. Now, the same will be achieved in semi-conductor and other sectors. The chips to be used in major works throughout the world will be made on Indian soil, it will be made from the hard work of Indian youth. In our third term, we will work with triple speed, triple times the efforts, and show Indians triple times the result. ”

The Prime Minister said that the return of the NDA government for the third time is a historic event, it can’t be achieved by political games but rather through hard work, building unparalleled faith, and getting blessings from the public through welfare. PM Modi also hailed the recent success for the party and its alliance partners in state assembly elections. He highlighted how the party formed government in Odisha and the NDA swept Andra Pradesh. He added that the saffron party has opened its account in Kerala.

People have given mandate to yet again keep the Congress in opposition

People have given the mandate to Congress that they should sit there in the opposition and shout, and scream when they don’t have facts and logic, PM Modi said while slamming the Congress party for its conduct in the Parliament. On several occasions, PM Modi took a dig at Congress leader and recently elected Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi with a ‘bacha buddhi’ (immature baby mind) jibe. He gave the example of an adult consoling a child to explain why Congress and its ecosystem have been peddling sympathetic narrative in support of Rahul Gandhi despite this being the third worst performance of the Congress party, in its history.

After 1984, there have been ten Lok Sabha elections since then yet Congress has not touched the 250-mark. This time, they got caught on the 99 mark. PM Modi took a dig at Rahul Gandhi saying who would make ‘Balak buddhi’ understand that he got 99 out of 543 not from 100 marks and that he has made a world record in getting failed.

PM Modi further slammed the remarks and running commentary by Congress leader asserting that it has left even Sholay film behind. “Mausi we may have lost for the third term but it is a moral victory. Aree Mausi, we got zero seats in 13 states, but we are heroes”, PM Modi jokingly observed how Congress has been acting lately.

PM Modi came down heavily on the opposition for their disparaging remarks on Hindu/Sanatan Dharma

PM Modi also slammed the I.N.D.I. alliance leaders for their controversial remarks on Sanatan Dharma, Shakti as ascribed in Hindu Dharma, and Rahul Gandhi’s remarks describing Hindus as violent. He asked Hindus to ponder whether this is ‘Sanyog or proyog‘.

“After seeing yesterday’s incident, now Hindu society should have to ponder whether this insult is just a coincidence or a preparation for some experimentation, ” the prime minister added.

PM Modi warns Congress’ ecosystem, answers to all your conspiracies will be given in your language

The habits of this ecosystem, the way they have decided to stop the nation’s progress, and derail its development, I want to warn them, give them a warning to this ecosystem, that the answer to all their conspiracies will be given in their language. This country will never accept anti-national conspiracies, the Prime Minister declared.

PM Modi on anti-India forces, CAA

PM Modi also expressed concerns about anti-India forces and cited the observation of the Supreme Court of India regarding the same.

“An attempt was made to spread anarchy by questioning the democratic process of India. Politics played regarding CAA, the game of misleading the people of the country, all efforts were made to ensure their political motives were fulfilled. Efforts have been made to push the country into riots. A new drama has been started these days to gain sympathy,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi on criminal cases against Rahul Gandhi, says country is telling him, “Tumse an ho payega”

In a scathing dig at Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi listed out criminal cases pending against the Congress leader. PM Modi said, “A new drama has been started to gain sympathy but the country knows the truth that he (Rahul Gandhi) is out on bail in a case of embezzlement of thousands of crores of rupees. He has been convicted in a case of calling OBC people thieves. He had to apologize after making irresponsible statement in the Supreme Court. There is a case against him for insulting a great personality like great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar… Today the country is telling him, tumse na ho payega.”

“On 1st of July, India celebrated Khatakhat day”, PM Modi also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s Khatakhat slogans.

PM Modi slams Congress for its anti-reservation stances

Congress has always been anti-reservation. They denied Babu Jagjivan Ram’s right like they denied Baba Ambedkar’s right. Indira Gandhi ensured that Babu Jagjivan Ram doesn’t become PM. Congress mistreated Chaudhary Charan Singh as well. Even its own President Sitaram Kesari was humiliated by the same Congress, the Prime Minister further stated while addressing the Lok Sabha on President’s address.

PM Modi assures country and the youth that nobody involved in the paper leak instances will be spared

PM Narendra Modi stressed, “I assure the students of the country, the youth of the country that Government is very serious about stopping incidents of paper leak, and taking steps to stop them on a war scale. Nobody indulging in them will be spared.”

He made these remarks while speaking on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address.

From KC Venugopal defaming Geeta to Owaisi calling 24 crore BJP voters indoctrinated: How Hinduphobia is normalised in parliament, led by Rahul Gandhi

A troubling trend to demonise Hindus and Hinduism has emerged in recent months, most notably during the Lok Sabha elections and more lately, in the Indian parliament following the transient setback to the Modi government in the polls that saw opposition parties fighting under the banner of the INDI bloc improving its tally in some pockets of the country, resulting in what their cheerleaders in media have hailed to be a ‘moral victory’.

The principal opposition party, Congress, ran a polarising campaign, using divisive rhetoric to foment caste divisions and spreading malicious disinformation to erode the Dalit voter base of the BJP. This strategy resulted in a gain of 47 seats, bringing their tally to 99 and making them the largest opposition party within the INDI alliance. The elections also witnessed significant gains for the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in the country, which is also home to Ayodhya, the birthplace of the Ram Temple that was inaugurated by PM Modi earlier this year.

Since then, the opposition parties, having realised the rewards of dividing the Hindu society, have stepped up their efforts to sow further divisions among the majority community and undermine the core voter base of PM Modi and the BJP. And in the process, normalised Hinduphobia in the Indian parliament.

The opposition parties have realised the benefits of dividing Hindu society and are making greater efforts to sow discord among the majority community and undermine the core voter base of PM Modi and the BJP. As a result, Hinduphobia has become shockingly normalized, even within the Indian parliament.

For example, during his speech in the Lok Sabha, Congress leader KC Venugopal insinuated that Godse learned violence, murder, and intolerance from the Bhagwad Geeta. Such a comment is so outrageous that if it were directed at a minority community, it would have sparked widespread protests with mob running riot chanting ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ slogans.

A major factor contributing to Hinduphobia in Parliament is the politicisation of religious identities. To secure minority appeasement, politicians vilify Hinduism and its followers, seeking to galvanise the minorities while simultaneously hoping to create rifts within the majority community. This strategy not divides the Hindu community but also engenders enmity among them, polarising the electorate that manifests itself in derogatory comments, unfounded accusations, and inflammatory speeches against Hindu traditions and practices.

In one fell scoop, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi branded all those who voted for the BJP as indoctrinated and anti-Muslim. “The mandate Narendra Modi got is because of hatred against Muslims, due to Hindutva. I would like to say it is not Modi’s indoc but every single person who voted him despite his anti Muslim voice,” Owaisi said in the parliament.

The BJP received over 24 crore votes, mainly from the Hindu fold and other Vedic communities. However, categorising every voter who supported the saffron party as brainwashed and anti-Muslim is an extreme and bigoted extrapolation, bordering on intolerance to diversity and aversion to the right that the constitution grants to every citizen to vote for their preferred political party.

Owaisi, who had courted controversy with his unwarranted ‘Jai Palestine’ comment during the oath-taking ceremony, once again raked up the Palestine issue seemingly to pressurise the Indian government over the Israel-Gaza war and rally his Muslim supporters behind the Palestine cause. During his speech in the parliament, Owaisi questioned the Indian government’s decision to supply arms to Israel, a strategic decision aimed at shoring up a beleaguered ally whose defence and military capabilities might prove critical to India in an event it is foisted with a confrontation with the PLA troops on the border.

While Palestinian Muslims are sympathised as victims even though the ongoing Israeli attack was triggered by October 7 attacks by Hamas, Hindus in India are unjustifiably characterised as bigots and Muslim-haters just because they voted for a political party that embraces an ideology that places national interests above narrow religious considerations.

But beyond Owaisi and KC Venugopal’s vitriolic attacks is a politician who is at the fulcrum of dissemination of Hinduphobia. The grotesque normalisation of Hinduphobia in the parliament is led by none other than the Leader of Opposition (LoP), Rahul Gandhi. The Gandhi scion, who is defacto leader of the Congress party, and among the senior most leaders in opposition ranks, sparked controversy when he said on Monday (July 1), “All those who identify themselves as Hindus indulge in violence, intolerance, and untruth.”

Notably, this is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has expressed Hinduphobic opinions. In 2014, he infamously said those who visit temples molest women. “Those who go to the temples, worship the goddess, refer to women as daughters and mothers, molest women in the bus,” Gandhi, the then Congress vice-president had said. In March 2024, Gandhi kicked off a political storm by revealing that he is “fighting against Shakti” while admitting that it finds reference in Hinduism

In September 2023, while attacking the Modi government on the Women’s Reservation Bill, Rahul Gandhi went on to insult Hindus and their faith arguing that Murthis in Mandir are powerless

Demanding a caste census, Rahul Gandhi said that Lok Sabha is called the temple of democracy. Then he went on to say whether any BJP MP take any decision, do they make any law or participate in making a law?

He continued, “Not at all. Neither Congress MP, BJP MP, nor any other MP. MPs have been turned into murtis in temples. OBC MPs have been filled like murtis (in the Parliament) but they don’t have any power. There is no contribution in (sic) running the country. This is a question I have raised.”

As evident from his past comments, Gandhi’s Hinduphobia is not a recent phenomenon. However, a senior politician indulging in brazen hatred against a community not only legitimises their dehumanisation but also encourages others to the follow the suit and continue targeting the community, a sample of which we saw today with KC Venugopal and Owaisi both demonstrating no qualms in targeting Hindus and their religious scriptures.

In any case, the legislative bias against Hindu interests is already becoming more apparent. Proposals and policies that disproportionately affect Hindu institutions and practices call into question the fairness of lawmakers. For instance, regulations that strictly control Hindu temples while other religious establishments face fewer restrictions demonstrate a clear bias.

Amidst this, overly hateful comments against Hindus and their religious scriptures by elected parliamentarians can manifest in several ways, including discriminatory laws, hate speech, and exclusionary policies. Such normalisation of hate against Hindus can erode democratic principles, chip away at social cohesion, and trigger genocidal violence against the target community. More seriously, The normalisation of Hinduphobia in the Indian Parliament strikes at the heart of India’s pluralistic ethos and threatens to unravel the social fabric that binds the nation together. As the world’s largest democracy, India must uphold the principles of equality and inclusivity, which makes it incumbent upon lawmakers to work towards eradicating this pernicious trend and fostering a more harmonious and united India.

‘Sanyog nahi Prayog’: PM Modi slams Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Hindus and Shakti, says country will not forget it for centuries

Speaking in the Lok Sabha on a Motion of Thanks on the President’s address, on July 2, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led I.N.D.I. alliance for making deriding remarks against Hindu Dharma. PM Modi slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who was recently elected as the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) and made controversial remarks on Hindus in his inaugural address as LoP.

In a scathing attack, PM Modi admonished Rahul Gandhi while referring to his Hindu remarks in Parliament and said,”These are your Sanskar, your character, your mindset, your hatred for the Hindus of this country.” PM Modi categorically asserted that the country will not forget or forgive them for the same.

Drawing the stark difference between Hindu Dharma and Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Hindus, PM Modi said, “I want to draw your attention to a serious issue. All Indian citizens, for a long time to come, will not forgive what happened yesterday. 131 years ago, Swami Vivekanand had said in Chicago, I am proud that I belong to that Dharma, which taught the entire world, teachings of liberalism, global acceptance. Swami Vivekanand had said this for Hindu Dharma, 131 years ago in US Chicago among the prominent elites of the world. Hindus are tolerant and inclusive and India’s diversity has prospered because of these virtues and is still flourishing in the country. It is a serious matter that now, a conspiracy is being hatched to frame false charges against Hindus. It was said that Hindus are violent.”

Lambasting the LoP Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said, “Some time ago, it was announced to destroy the Shakti which is revered in Hindu Dharma. You are talking about the destruction of which Shakti? This country for eons has been the worshipper of Shakti, my Bengal revers and worships Maa Durga, Maa Kali, you talk about the destruction of this Shakti. These are the same people who tried to plant the terminology of Hindu terror.”

He added, “People will not forgive that these people clap when their ally compares Hindu Dharma with Dengue and Malaria. As part of a well-planned conspiracy, their ecosystem has made a fashion to abuse, insult, and mock Hindus, their traditions, society, and culture, and belittling their heritage. And for political gains, such elements are providing them protection.”

PM Modi also slammed Rahul Gandhi for politicising the deities and his Abhaymudra remarks. He asserted that every form of God is for darshan not for personal reasons. He said, “Jiske Darshan hote hai unke Pradharshan nhi hote hai.” The insult of our deities have deeply hurt and pained the hearts of 140 crores Indians. This country can’t forgive such kind of game of forms of God’s for personal reasons. After seeing yesterday’s incident, now Hindu society should have to ponder whether this insult is just a coincidence or a preparation for some experimentation.”

Arrest of illegal Bangladeshis, Rohingyas at Agartala becoming a common affair, hundreds arrested this year, all you need to know

11 Bangladeshi infiltrators were recently arrested at Agartala Railway Station in Tripura. They intended to take trains from Agartala and travel to different parts the country before the GRP and RPF nabbed them all. Illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas use Agartala Railway Station to get into trains headed to other parts of India. Over the previous year and a half, security personnel have apprehended thousands of illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas who have infiltrated Tripura.

On June 30, 2024, GRP and RPF posted at Agartala Railway Station detained 11 illegal Bangladeshis from the station itself. Of these, six are men and five are women. They were all intending to travel from Agartala to various destinations such as Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai. None of them are believed to have the necessary documents to enter India. Agartala GRP has filed a case in this regard, and further action will be taken against them. The authorities are also looking into this case from the viewpoint of human trafficking.

Infiltrators are being caught continuously

The number of infiltrators reaching different places in India via Agartala Railway Station is steadily increasing. Earlier, on June 29, 2024, 11 illegal infiltrators were apprehended. Further, on June 27, 2024, two Bangladeshi infiltrators, Akhtar and Firoza, were detained at Agartala Railway Station. Both of them were attempting to board the train to Karnataka.

A day earlier, on June 26, 2024, Rubia Sultana, Ritu Begum, Jyoti Khatun, and Meem Sultana were apprehended. These individuals were about to take a train to Pune and Ahmedabad. In the month of June, 39 infiltrators in total were caught at Agartala station.

Earlier in May, 28 infiltrators were caught from various locations. Four Bangladeshi infiltrators were arrested on May 23, and two on May 21. On May 17, 2024, four Bangladeshi infiltrators were arrested as they were about to board the Agartala Secunderabad Express. Earlier, on May 11, eight Bangladeshi infiltrators were detained as they attempted to travel to Maharashtra. Many infiltrators have been arrested outside the station after evading security patrols. Many times, their Indian supporters have also been arrested along with them.

130 arrested in 2024 itself, including Rohingyas

OpIndia spoke with security personnel regarding the regular arrests of intruders at the Agartala Railway Station. Tapas Das, a GRP officer stationed at Agartala railway station, told OpIndia that 130 Bangladeshi infiltrators were arrested in 2024 alone. There are four Rohingya infiltrators among them. He explained that they take trains from Agartala to other places in India. These illegal infiltrators visit and later settle in major cities in India, including Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Delhi.

He told OpIndia that the number of infiltrators caught at Agartala Railway Station is steadily growing. To escape detection on the trains, these infiltrators typically travel in general coaches. They do not need to show their identity card to receive their ticket. He further stated that infiltrators who have already settled in several Indian cities get their tickets booked online. Many such gangs are also active in Tripura, working to transport them to other parts of the country.

While speaking with OpIndia, he stated that the number of these infiltrators is increasing. Previously, just 2-4 illegal Bangladeshis were apprehended here each month, but now the number has risen to 30-40. This is also corroborated by the information posted on GRP Tripura’s X (Twitter) account. GRP continually provides information concerning the arrest of these infiltrators. According to this report, 118 illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators were apprehended between January 2024 and June 30, 2024.

Every day, stories emerge of Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators being captured in Tripura. According to a report, the BSF apprehended 1018 infiltrators in Tripura alone between January 2023 and April 15, 2024. Of these, 498 are Bangladeshi. There are several women and children among the captured Bangladeshis.

According to the BSF, it caught 744 infiltrators in 2023. Of these, 112 were Rohingya, and 337 were Bangladeshis. The number of infiltrators apprehended is increasing year after year. In 2022, BSF apprehended 369 infiltrators. Of these, 150 were Bangladeshis and 57 were Rohingya. Similarly, in 2021, 208 infiltrators were apprehended, including 93 Bangladeshis.

Hindi-Assamese training to Rohingya, infiltration package for ₹10-20 lakh

There is a conspiracy working to relocate illegal Rohingyas from Myanmar to India. The NIA squad just apprehended its mastermind, Jalil Miyan. Fake documents are being used to settle Rohingya Muslims in India, under packages ranging from Rs 10-20 lakh (14-28 lakh Bangladeshi Takas). Rohingya infiltrators are trained in languages such as Hindi and Assamese to settle in India.

This is done to avoid being detected due to their accent. This gang used to smuggle 5-10 Rohingya Muslims into India each day. Even the appearance of the intruders is altered to conceal their identity. There are numerous such camps in Delhi, where Rohingyas live. The Rohingya Muslim population in India has doubled in only two years.

The central government has stated that there are no camps for Rohingya refugees in the country. Their population in Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir is estimated to be 10,000. These Rohingyas have also been involved in numerous crimes. They had engaged in great numbers in the anti-CAA protests in Shaheen Bagh and Zafarabad. The central government has declared them illegal immigrants and a threat to national security.

Uttar Pradesh: At least 27, mostly women, killed in a stampede in Hathras

In a tragic event in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, at least 27 people, including 25 women were killed during a stampede at a religion event. The number of fatalities is expected to rise with several more people rushed to the hospital. The stampede took place during a Satsang for Sant Bhole Baba.

As per reports, a religious congregation was organised at Phulrai village in the district in which a large number of devotees were present. There was a stampede at the end of the congregation when hundreds of devotees tried to leave the venue together leading to a stampede.

“We have received 27 bodies, of which 25 are female and two are male. Some injured have also been taken to hospitals. We have heard that there was a stampede during a ‘satsang’ but don’t have too many more details,” said Chief Medical Officer, Etah, Dr Umesh Kumar Tripathi while speaking to the media.

Three children are also said to be killed in the stampede, the heartrending visuals of which went viral on Social media.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of the tragedy and has set up a committee to investigate the incident. The panel has been formed which will be headed by Additional Director General of Police (Agra) and the Aligarh Commissioner.

The FIR has been registered with a police station in Imphal East district under Sections 117 (abetment), 295-A (insulting religious sentiments), 153-A (promoting enmity between communities) and other relevant provisions of law.

The complaint read, “The accused person deliberately with malicious intention insulted the Meitei’s religious beliefs and promoted enmity between the Meiteis and other communities on religious grounds.” Though Reddy has not officially given any statement on social media, he has thanked others for expressing solidarity with him.

The police said in a statement that Reddy often hosts spaces on social media platforms and allegedly directs people in Manipur on how to create unrest and trouble against law enforcement personnel. The complaint read, “The unlawful activities of the accused person and his associates amount to anti-national activities that challenge the integrity and sovereignty of India, and are fit to be dealt with under the relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.”

It further read, “As there is a high possibility of the accused being linked with Khalistanis in Canada… and with narco-terrorist groups… the call records of the accused, financial activities… may kindly be investigated.” The complainant also requested the Indian authorities to contact the employers of Reddy and inform them about the “criminal acts committed by him against India”. He also requested to issue a lookout circular (LOC) to monitor entry and exit points in India.

Kuki student organisation comes in support of Reddy, demands withdrawal of FIR

On 1st July, the Kuki Students’ Organisation-Delhi & NCR condemned the FIR registered against Reddy and called it a “frivolous complaint”. Defending Reddy, they stated that his social media account posts offer unbiased perspectives and the authentic history of both the Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur.

The statement read, “It is clear that Professor Reddy, an India-loving person of Indian origin with deep connections to India and its people, is being targeted for his commitment to truth and justice. The professor’s activism on social media has never been about vilifying the Meitei community. Rather, it has been about shedding light on the complex truths surrounding the Manipur violence.”

The organisation demanded immediate withdrawal of the complaint against Reddy.

Uday Reddy has been called out multiple times for his lack of understanding about Manipur and for spreading propaganda about Meitei community. For instance, in one of the discussions he was called out for his failure to accurately address Manipur’s history, specifically the Anglo-Kuki war. (OpIndia could not verify the authenticity of the audio)

He was also seen mocking Meitei victims on several instances.

He also showed his anti-Hindu bias multiple times. In April 2022, he accused Hindus of “weaponising” Ram Navami against Muslims. In a post on X, he wrote, “Hindutva nationalist organisations, spearheaded by RSS and BJP, have weaponised the festival to create Hindu–Muslim frictions, causing riots and deaths, in which the Muslims have been the major sufferers.”

In reality, it was Muslims who mercilessly attacked Hindus across India on Hindu festivals like Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti. OpIndia has extensively covered such attacks that can be checked here and here.

Nudity and perversity litter streets of San Francisco and Toronto during LGBTQ Pride Parade: Onslaught of the degenerates and how it affects children

Beginning from June 1st, this year, the “Pride Month” also called “Gay Pride”, saw numerous pride marches and events in various countries with members of the LGBTQ+ community coming together to celebrate their ‘identity’ and the 1969 “Stonewall Uprising” in Manhattan.

While Pride marches are supposed to be the celebrations of diversity, equality, and the LGBTQ+ community’s fight for rights, recent incidents of nudity and explicit behaviour during these events, particularly at the 2024 Pride marches in Toronto and San Francisco have raised eyebrows.

During the Toronto Pride Parade in Canada, multiple instances of public nudity and sexually explicit performances were reported. Some participants were seen wearing little to no clothing and engaging in provocative dances and perverse acts. This gross absurdity in the name of ‘pride’ was reportedly visible to all, including families and children present around.

These LGBTQ+ persons were seen doing obscene acts, going full to semi-naked, the organisers of such events had called it a “Family Pride” event. “Family Pride is a fun-filled experience on the grounds of Church Street School. Here families can indulge in face painting, a magic show, storytelling, and so much more,” organisers for a Family Pride event at the Church Street School in Toronto said.

Open display of vulgarity raises questions

While “Pride Month” is expected to be a celebration of the identity and rights of the LGBTQ+ community, the display of vulgarity at most of such events makes one wonder if degeneracy is the new “pride” or the perverts are hijacking the LGBTQ+ cause to legitimise and mainstream their perversion.

In the United States, the San Francisco Pride Festival drew sharp criticism as people were seen doing the most disgusting acts. In a video going viral on social media, a woman urinated on a man. A man was seen doing oral sex with another man while people watched and passed by. There was literally a “fetish zone” created during the pride parade last week. Moreover, there was a “spank booth” wherein participants were getting spanked, whipped and imitating sex acts on each other publicly.

A video from the San Francisco pride event showed an old man standing naked holding a rainbow flag and waving at the children. This was all happening in the presence of the police. The San Francisco Police allowed people to roam around naked in public, especially in the presence of children. Even the California Penal Code 314 defines the sex crime of “indecent exposure” and prohibits willfully exposing one’s private parts in a public place in the presence of another person.

The open degeneracy in the San Francisco Pride Festival sparked much-deserved outrage on social media. Taking to X Journalist Savannah Hernandez said, “San Francisco pride was the most shocking and disturbing event that I’ve ever witnessed. Shame on every parent who brought their child to this event and shame on the city for allowing what could only be described as a giant public orgy.”

It is beyond the comprehension levels of any sane person as to how exactly urinating on each other, and indulging in sexually explicit behaviour is a celebration of one’s supposed gender identity. Does one need to walk naked or swim in a pool of urine to feel prideful about their supposed “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer” identity?

Notably, during a drag march in New York City last year, its participants were heard saying, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.”

At the pride parade in Washington Square Park, people were also seen clashing and throwing things at each other. Moreover, some women were seen twerking on a white car.

Such sexually explicit behaviour during pride events has accrued over the last few years. Back in 2022, OpIndia reported about a similar event in Washington DC wherein a transsexual woman was seen twerking in front of children.

Ironically, while LGBTQ community members are often seen partaking in the pro-Palestine protests and yelling “Free Palestine” etc, even though the Hamas terrorists and Islam has zero regard for transgenders and the extended LGBTQ+ community, several anti-Israel protestors blocked their pride march in New York.

Notably, countries like Canada and the United States have actively encouraged families to attend pride events as part of what is often dubbed as broader efforts to promote inclusivity, acceptance, and education about LGBTQ+ issues. However, the presence of nudity and explicit behaviour at some pride events is certainly causing several negative repercussions.

Children may find exposure to nudity and sexually explicit activities in public contexts perplexing and unpleasant. They may lack the maturity to absorb these displays effectively, causing serious psychological distress. Early exposure to such explicit behaviour can influence a child’s understanding of appropriate behaviour and boundaries, potentially normalising public indecency. Several studies suggest that early exposure to explicit information can alter children’s concept of sexuality and personal boundaries in ways that are inappropriate for their age. Children exposed to such explicit behaviour may end up imitating it since they may form a distorted perception that such behaviour is “cool”.

While it is asserted that pride events are meant to foster tolerance and acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community, sexually explicit acts overshadow the so-called message of equality and expose children to the risk of getting abused by paedophiles. It must be mentioned here that there have been attempts from several quarters, especially in the US, in recent years to “normalise” and “destigmatise” paedophilia by calling them Minor Attracted Persons instead of a paedophile. The self-proclaimed MAPs have been seeking acceptance from the LGBTQs.

What began as an apparently well-intentioned attempt to educate and sensitise children to LGBTQ people so that they would grow up to accept it as a natural reality has devolved into complete madness. There have been reports about teachers revealing their sexual orientation and identity in the classroom. Incidents of exposing children to sexuality and sexual behaviour are becoming more widespread, which is cause for concern among parents. This grew out of control, with puberty blockers and gender identity becoming popular classroom themes. In an alarming report published by The Telegraph last month, an LGBTQ charity group in the United Kingdom is training teachers to inform children about hormone blockers. Probably, “We’re coming for your children” is not a mere slogan but a warning.

Several LGBTQ community members and their cheerleaders in politics and journalism argue that Pride events should be inclusive of all forms of expression, including kink and nudity, saying that they are integral parts of LGBTQ culture and history. They assert that Pride should be a space where people can express their sexuality freely without judgment and that children can “handle” it. However, Pride should focus on celebrating LGBTQ identity and achievements, rather than on sexual expression in public, in the presence of children. Kids and teenagers (below 10 years) are not supposed to see and handle ‘kink’ and other sexually explicit acts in public. They are supposed to develop their cognitive abilities and do well in academics and sports, develop interest and skills in whatever field that interests them. Let children be children and not be cheerleaders of perversion.
