The picture of a woman caught the sight of many protestors. Unlike the brown-skinned protestors, this variant had blonde hair and white skin. Soon her identity became evident. She was Hannah Ellis-Petersen, a known anti-India propagandist who works for The Guardian.

The viral clip is from a podcast Sherwani hosted in February 2026. In this, Nivedita Menon and The Wire’s propagandist not only laugh off the concept of Love Jihad, but also dismiss concerns about a predatory pattern involving Muslim men targeting Hindu women due to religious hatred for Kafirs, as mere Hindu male insecurity.

The BBC article’s headline, “Indian billionaires buy foreign companies as growth slows at home”, is quite revealing of the underlying agenda of portraying even lucrative Indian mergers and acquisitions as more of an outcome of domestic failures than strong balance sheets.
