Singer B Praak has cancelled his podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBicepsGuy after his obnoxious remarks on ‘India’s Got Latent’ went viral on social media.
Responding to social media outrage, B Praak took to Instagram to share a video, announcing the cancellation of his podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia.
“We were going to shoot the podcast with BeerBicepsGuy but we cancelled that because of his pathetic remarks on Samay Raina’s show. This is not our Indian culture. What kind of story are you telling about your parents?” the Teri Mitti fame singer lamented.
The singer also slammed the Sikh jury member on the show, asking him if it suits a Sikh to be participating in such a show where abuses and offensive comments are passed in the name of comedy.
While Ranveer Allahabadia has tendered an apology after the video went viral, the controversy has refused to die down as prominent personalities have weighed in on the kind of content being passed under the pretext of humour.
The controversy erupted after offensive videos of content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija, along with podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia (Beer Biceps), appeared in an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Allahabadia posed a controversial “would you rather” question regarding an intimate relationship between a contestant’s parents during the show. The remark quickly went viral, sparking outrage on social media.
