On Monday, February 10, officials from Delhi Police Crime Branch had gone to Jamia Nagar in the city to apprehend some criminals. However, as per reports, the team came under heavy attack from the locals there.
As per report from Zee News, the attack was led by supporters of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan.
Apparently, the Police team had gone to Jamia Nagar today afternoon to nab a criminal when they came under attack. Following the attack, the Crime Branch team informed local police about the attack and asked for support. However, the criminal the Crime Branch was after managed to escape in the ensuing chaos.
As per the Zee News report, the people who had gathered to attacked the Police team were allegedly AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s supporters.
Notably, Amanatullah Khan’s son was booked recently for misbehaving with Delhi Police officials.
