Manish Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and a prominent AAP leader has admitted defeat in the Jangpura Assembly seat. After winning three consecutive terms from Patparganj in East Delhi, he contested from Jangpura this time.
Acknowledging his loss, Sisodia stated that BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah, who is set to win in Jangpura, will address the people’s concerns. When asked about the reasons behind his defeat, he said he would review the results before making any assessments.
At the end of 9 rounds, Manish Sisodia was trailing by 572 votes to BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah.

It is notable to mention that AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who lost the New Delhi constituency, lavished praises on Sisodia in 2022, referring to him as the “world’s best education minister” after The New York Times published a report highlighting the “transformative changes” in Delhi’s education system.
Kejriwal’s remarks had come in response to the CBI raid on Sisodia’s residence and 20 other locations across seven states over allegations of corruption in the execution of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
