Uttar Pradesh: Police arrest Amedkarite activist ‘Didi’ Nirdesh Singh, who abused Hindu deities and Maha Kumbh Mela

In a major development, the Moradabad police in Uttar Pradesh arrested Amedkarite activist ‘Didi’ Nirdesh Singh for abusing Hindu deities, saints and the Maha Kumbh Mela.

According to reports, she was apprehended from Noida on Thursday (30th January). A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against Singh at the Majhola police station based on a complaint by Pramod Saini.

The controversial Ambedkarite activist was booked under Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) Sections 196(1), 299, 302, 353(1)(c), 353(2) and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

According to Moradabad SP Kumar Ranvijay Singh, the police received information that ‘Didi’ Nirdesh Singh was staying in Noida. The cops rushed to the location and apprehended her from the scene.

Upon her arrest, the Ambedkarite activist claimed that she was not well.

The Moradabad police had previously conducted raids at the residence of ‘Didi’ Nirdesh Singh.
