Uttar Pradesh: Syed Hussain arrested for luring a Hindu girl posing as a CRPF commandant Sameer, Jalaluddin gang link under probe

A man from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested after a case involving deception and attempted religious conversion came to light during a train journey. The accused is identified as 38-year-old Syed Salamat Hussain, also known as Sahil Hussain. The man was luring a 19-year-old Hindu woman from Madhya Pradesh to Lucknow on the pretext of a job and forcing her to convert. The matter came to light when the woman was travelling with the accused on a train, named Chitrakoot Express, from Jabalpur to Lucknow

According to officials, the case came to light when a young woman complained of being harassed by a train attendant in the M-1 coach. When the police from the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived and started questioning her, they found that she was accompanied by Hussain, who claimed to be a CRPF Commandant and was using a Hindu name, Sameer. When the GRP rigorously interrogated Syed Hussain, they found that he was not a CRPF Commandant and that he was Muslim.

He befriended the young woman on Instagram by posing as a Hindu. Then, he lured her with the promise of a job and lured her to Lucknow. The investigation revealed that there was a plot to take the young woman from Lucknow to Balrampur and force her to convert.

The investigation also revealed that the accused, Syed Hussain, had previously entrapped a young woman from Pilibhit. He also attempted to convert her, but was caught. The GRP is investigating his connection with the Jalaluddin conversion gang, his network with Dr Rameez, a KGMU associate, and other connections.
