The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a major relief for 3.7 crore electricity consumers by deciding not to raise power tariffs for the seventh year in a row. With this decision, electricity rates across the state will remain the same, giving relief to crores of consumers who will not have to pay higher power bills this year.
The Yogi Adityanath government has decided to continue with the existing electricity tariff structure without making any changes. This means people using electricity for homes, businesses, shops and other purposes will continue to pay bills at the current rates. There will be no increase in electricity charges for any category of consumers.
By keeping electricity tariffs unchanged for another year, the state government has ensured that consumers will not face any additional financial burden due to higher power rates. The decision continues the government’s policy of maintaining stable electricity prices despite the annual tariff revision process.
The move is expected to benefit a large number of electricity users across Uttar Pradesh, including households, commercial establishments and other consumers. Since there has been no revision in tariffs, people will continue to receive electricity at the existing rates, helping them manage their monthly expenses without worrying about an increase in power bills.
