Huge crowds can be seen joining the yatra from wherever it passes and excitement is visible amongst the people underlining that BJP's Annamalai has become a household name in the DMK-ruled state.
The same Sengol from 1947 will be installed by the Prime Minister in the Lok Sabha, prominently close to the Speaker's podium. It will be displayed for the Nation to see and will be taken out on special occasions.
K Annamalai on Sunday sought External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's intervention in facilitating the transfer of the mortal remains of a person from Tirunelveli who died in an accident in Saudi Arabia.
"You [DMK government] think that you can suppress the voice of democracy by filing false cases. As a common man, I give you 24 hours, to touch me if possible," Annamalai said in a tweet.
