On Monday, 22nd April, the Delhi High Court dismissed the bail plea of Salim Malik alias Munna in the anti-Hindu Delhi Riots of 2020.

During anti-CAA protests, Umar Khalid spoke at a meeting organised by his father Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas's party Welfare Party of India where he allegedly told Bangladeshis to protest against CAA.
