An unidentified number posted a "Hi" message on the victim's WhatsApp on Tuesday, 7th May.

The Police have filed an FIR under sections 376 (rape), 376 (2)(n), 377, 420, 323, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. Further investigations in the case are underway.

As the police took cognisance of the video on Saturday (6th April) and initiated an investigation into the matter, it found that Sandeep Kumar was “mentally manipulated” by Anayat Muntazir, a resident of Nowhatta and owner of the house where Sandeep was working as a domestic help.

The victim claimed that she was locked in a room for several days and beaten. During this time, the girl was put under pressure to convert to Islam.

A case has been registered under both the POCSO Act and the Religious Conversion Act. Rape charges have also been filed against Chand and his accomplices.

"The Quran says if a Muslim has to take action against a Kaffir or an idol worshipper to get him to the right track, then this abuse or assault will not be considered bad," the accused reportedly told the victim.

The girl was rescued owing to the efforts of Hindu groups who intervened upon learning about the situation

According to the complaint, Arif and his brother raped the Hindu girl for around a year and then tried to kill her.

Police have registered a case naming Sattar, Salman and others in this matter. The accused have been booked under sections 147, 506, and 306 of IPC along with section 3/5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act.
