“The present case relates to allocation of a coal block. The convicts had obtained the said block by committing cheating with the Government of India. Prosecution is justified in saying that the loss to the nation was huge,” the court said.

Justice Pulastya Pramachala said that the involvement of the accused in the riots is proven beyond doubt. ASJ Pramachala pronounced the accused guilty and stated: "I find that charges leveled against all the accused persons, in this case, are proven beyond doubt.
