End of Naxalism

Sonu and Devuji who belong to the senior leadership of CPI (M) have a bounty of Rs 1 crore on each of them.

The slain terrorists have been identified as Lalu Lohara, Chhotu Oraon, and Sujit Oraon. Gumla SP Haris Bin Zaman confirmed this. Lalu Lohara and Chhotu Oraon, both carrying a reward of five lakh rupees, made this police action even more significant.

In a purported statement, the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist), expressed readiness to give up arms and asked the Central government to announce a one-month ceasefire and pause the ongoing anti-Naxal operations

According to the Hazaribagh SP, Sahdev Soren alias Parvesh, a member of the Central Committee, carried a reward of Rs 1 crore.

Joint teams of E-30, STF, and COBRA launched an anti-Naxal operation after receiving inputs about the presence of Naxals in the Mainpur forest region.

These villages were under the control of the CPI (Maoist), which threatened locals against celebrating the 15th of August.

Many among the Naxals were involved in high-profile attacks, extortion networks, ambushes against security personnel and arms training camps.

On one hand, the security forces are eliminating Maoist-Naxalite ‘leaders’, on the other, the government is ensuring proper rehabilitation and mainstreaming of the surrendered Naxals as part of Naxal Mukt India program.
