Senior state Congress leader Muhammed Arif 'Naseem' Khan stepped down from the party's campaign committee, amid the Lok Sabha elections, citing the decision by the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) bloc not to field any minority candidate in the polls.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sahil Lala Bagwan, Samir Lala Bagwan, Isak Mistri, Kallu Pathan, Vihaan Bagwan, Kausaar Mussa Khatik, and Ajya Khatik.
As per the complainant, Jagdish Kudale, Rafiq wanted him and his family to leave the area so that he could house other people from his community in the locality. "The accused and his family time and again used to harass my family. Rafiq used to tease women from our house and look at them often making them feel uncomfortable," he said.
Tehseen Poonawalla, the Congress sympathiser and brother-in-law of Robert Vadra slammed the Shiv Sena (UBT) for unilaterally deciding to field candidates on the three seats Congress was seeking.
