The BJP has launched a scathing attack on the TMC government accusing it of attempting to save the disgraced former principal of RG Kar Hospital, Sandip Ghosh. Taking to X, BJP Social media head, Amit Malviya said that it was nothing but a move by CM Banerjee to save Ghosh.

The senior advocated alleged that Mamata Banerjee-led TMC planted goons over the RG Kar Hospital attack.

"There were a lot of policemen with the body (of the victim); the area had become very congested... We were told that there was a chance of the body getting decomposed..." the crematorium manager said.

"The parents of the victim girl refused it (money) because they didn't want to be a part of the game played by the chief minister," informed Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya.

The arrested girl has been identified as Kirti Sharma. "Shoot Mamata Banerjee like Indira Gandhi. If you can't do it, I wouldn't disappoint," Kirti Sharma was quoted as saying in one of her posts.

The late trainee doctor's father said, "The Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) speaks at length, walking the streets demanding justice for my daughter. Yet, at the same time, she attempts to suppress public anger. Why is she engaging in duplicity? Is she afraid of people? We have questions that need answers.

While Mamata Banerjee has blamed the left and BJP for the late-night vandalism incident at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital, the major arrests in the hospital vandalism incident point otherwise. Among the 30 accused arrested, some of them are linked with the ruling state party, Trinamool Congress

On Saturday (17th August), Sagnik Laha was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate and sentenced to 14 days in custody.

Expressing her outrage over the rape and murder of a female resident doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, Asha Devi, the mother of Nirbhaya, described the incident as "the most unfortunate thing that has happened."
