Sisodia was arrested on Sunday in an ongoing investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the new excise policy of the Delhi government. 

CM Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly accepted the resignation of his jailed ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain.

On February 27, a Delhi court remanded Manish Sisodia to 5 days in CBI custody in connection to the liquor policy scam case.

"If there was no discrepancy in liquor policy, it shouldn't have been taken back. This is not the time to give emotional statements. If he (Sisodia) has opened schools, colleges and hospitals, show it to us. He can move to SC, but for me, Delhi CM and AAP has been exposed," he said.

While the objective of Delhi's new liquor policy was to end black marketing and mafia raj, the AAP government was soon shrouded in corruption allegations.

With Satyendra Jain and now Manish Sisodia getting arrested, the caretakers of the 19 departments of the Delhi government are behind the bars.
