Mahakumbh DIG Vaibhav Krishna said that Amrit Snan is about to begin and police and administration will assist all the akharas in completing their traditional processions.
After a brief halt due to large crowds, saints began their procession as they headed to Triveni Sangam for the second Amrit Snan of MahaKumbh 2025 on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya on Wednesday.
As per reports, while a large number of people were moving towards Sangam ghat, at around 1.30 am in the night, a sudden stampede like situation emerged and people started running over fallen persons.
Speaking after performing the Ganga Aarti at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam, Adani emphasized, "Our values and way of life are rooted in simplicity and the working class. Jeet has also come here to seek Ma Ganga’s blessings. The wedding will be a modest and traditional family event."
A fire broke out near sector 19 at the Mahakumbh tent city. An explosion in gas cylinders reportedly caused the fire. CM Yogi reached at the site to assess the situation.
The disciplinary committee of the Akhara highlighted that Singh used offensive language not only against his Guru but also fellow seers, which is a breach of their strict code. Mahant Hari Giri clarified that Singh would remain expelled until he learns to uphold these principles.
