As reported earlier, Sambhal Circle Officer (CO) Anuj Chaudhary urged Hindus and Muslims to maintain peace during the festival. He advised people from the Muslim community to avoid stepping out for one day on the occasion of Holi if they want to avoid the colours and festivities. He also urged Hindus not to throw colours at people against their wishes.
Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan dismissed the government figures of the number of devotees visiting Mahakumbh and also claimed that the water in Prayagraj is contaminated as dead bodies of stampede victims have been thrown in the Ganga river.
Ram Gopal Yadav accused the state government of concealing the true death toll of Mahakumbh stampede and claimed that officials were ordered not to report figures exceeding 30.
On Sambhal violence, he said, "The Administration is one hundred per cent guilty in Sambhal incident. The day a neutral investigation is conducted, many senior officials will go to jail." Today again I have given notice in the House on the Sambhal issue."
Ram Gopal Yadav replied, “That Mandir is useless. Mandirs are not built like this. From North to South, see how the old mandirs are built. The map of Ram Mandir is not made properly. It has not been built properly as per Vaastu.”
Ram Gopal Yadav stated that they should keep the unflattering pictures of the moon for their research and should not release them to the public because it will hurt the hearts of those who view the natural satellite of Earth as a symbol of beauty.
