The two initiatives were launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during an event held at Central Park in RK Puram.
According to official data available till Thursday, 2nd July, the PWD has desilted around 1,955 kilometres of drains out of its total 2,123-kilometre drainage network.
The plan includes classroom repairs, fire safety improvements, upgraded sports facilities, digital infrastructure and better accessibility for students.
The proposed framework aims to address gaps in regulation, improve accountability, strengthen safety standards and ensure better monitoring of coaching institutes.
The meeting was attended by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tarunjit Singh Sandhu, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and senior officials from both the Centre and the Delhi government.
