Rana has been lodged in the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Los Angeles for over 10 years since he was convicted of the 2008 terror attacks by a US court.
"The United States respectfully requests that the Court deny Rana's petition for a writ of habeas corpus," said E Martin Estrada, US attorney for Central District of California in his petition opposing the plea from Tahawwur Rana.
In a submission before the US District Court, Central District of California in Los Angeles, the Biden administration has argued that the extradition request filed by Indians have necessary evidence on each of the criminal charges for which India seeks Rana's extradition.
