Federal agents in Minneapolis fatally shot Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA nurse, during an immigration operation. While officials claim Pretti was armed, bystander videos appear to show him unarmed on the ground, sparking nationwide outrage and demands for federal forces to leave Minnesota.

The Trump administration will suspend immigrant visa processing for 75 countries, including Pakistan, starting January 21. The move aims to prevent new arrivals from becoming a "public charge." While permanent residency applications are paused indefinitely, temporary tourist and student visas remain unaffected.

In recent days, the US, seeking regime change in Iran, has declared support for the demonstrators in Iran.
