Controversy started after Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam recently announced that non-Hindu employees working in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which manages the Sri Venkateswara temple atop Tirumala hill, one of the richest Hindu temples, will be sacked.
Though the items were reported missing in 2017, the theft has come to light after a former TTD board member released some documents related to the audit recently.
The outgoing Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board TDP leader Putta Sudhakar Yadav submitted his resignation as the Chairman yesterday.
