Ghaziabad police have stated that Umed Idris has confessed to making misleading claims and giving a false communal spin to the assault incident. The initial complaint was reportedly drafted by Idris at his house.
Bijnor police chief Dr Dharm Vir Singh said in the statement that the matter is under investigation. However, prima facie the documents provided by the accused have found to be false.
After the case was highlighted on the social media, Sultanpur police have informed that they have suspended a constable involved in the case and the accused inspector has been ordered to report at the police lines.
