Congress posts insensitive tweet on Sridevi’s death, deletes after fans angered

Even as the country was mourning the untimely death of Sridevi, Congress’s social media handle was busy is trying to gain political mileage out of the incident. This is yet another goof in a series of false steps Congress has taken in the social media space. The official handle of Congress, tweeted the following:

Social media users and fans of the actress took severe offence at the last line in the tweet. They saw it as a move to politicise the death of the star, and to gain mileage from the unfortunate incident:








Owing to the severe criticism it received, Congress social media handle eventually deleted the tweet. This tweet goes to show once again how Congress does not leave any opportunity of using any incident for their political benefit. Even the dead are not spared!
