On 1st February 2019, the then acting Finance Minister Piyush Goyal had presented an Interim Budget where several benefits for individual taxpayers and MSMEs were announced. However, since it was the year of General Elections, the government presented a vote on account and not a full budget. After the Modi government has taken charge, today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first full budget of Modi government’s second term.
