Six people, including women and children, were injured after they jumped from a building in panic when a fire broke out at a factory in Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area on Sunday, 13th September, police said.
The fire was reported at a building located at Khasra No. 357/58 in Gali No. 2, Swaroop Nagar. The factory on the ground and first floors was used for manufacturing judo dresses and boxing gloves

According to police, no one was inside the factory when the fire started. However, the blaze caused panic among residents of a building opposite the factory.
Six people, including women and children, jumped from the building while trying to escape the situation and suffered injuries. They were taken to hospitals for treatment and are now out of danger, police said.
Fire brought under control
The Delhi Fire Service received information about the blaze at 11:05 am. Fifteen fire tenders were immediately sent to the location and firefighting operations began.
After efforts by the fire crews, the blaze was completely extinguished, police said.
Officials were still trying to find out what caused the fire and assess the damage to the factory. Police were also verifying the identities and other details of the six people who were injured in the incident.
