Assam: Physics lecturer arrested in Silchar after students file complaint for his derogatory comments against PM Modi and Hinduism on Facebook

A Guest Lecturer, Souradeep Sengupta, at the Gurucharan College in Silchar, Assam, was arrested on Friday for making disparaging comments on Facebook against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hindusim in the context of the Delhi riots.

A case (No 722/2020) against Sengupta was registered at Sadar Police Station in Silchar under sections 295(A), 153(A), 507 of the IPC and 66 of the IT Act. The FIR was filed by some students of the College who found the remarks objectionable. They said that Sengupta was trying to incite communal violence.

He was produced before a Silchar Court on Saturday and has been sent to judicial custody until Monday. His bail application has also been listed for hearing on Monday.

In a Facebook post, the Physics Lecturer wrote, “The BJP and the RSS are trying to recreate Godhra in Delhi right now. People on the streets are getting their IDs checked to see if they are Muslim – if they are, they are getting beaten mercilessly.”

He claimed, “Hindu houses are being marked with saffron flags while Muslim houses and mosques are being petrol bombed. All while these terrorists shout Jai Shree Ram. Sanatan Dharma my foot.”

Sengupta alleged, “We elected a mass murder twice as PM – this is what we get. Everyone who voted for the BJP should know they sold the country off for a few bucks.”

Complained file by students with police against Souradeep Sengupta

In the complained filed with the police, the students wrote that Sengupta made derogatory remarks and abused the Sanatan Dharma as a whole. He has tried to incite communal violence by making inflammatory comments against the Hindu community in the context of Delhi violence, they have written. “We believe that any such hate monger should be punished under the Indian laws and therefore we urge to take stern action against the said person”, the complained states.

Memorandum of students demanding the termination of Souradeep Sengupta

Apart from the FIR with police, the students have also submitted a memorandum to the Principal of Gurucharan College demanding immediate termination of Sengupta. The memorandum states the professor has hurt the sentiments of people and abused the elected prime minister of India by addressing him as ‘mass murderer’. Students allege that Souradeep Sengupta has made a desperate attempt to create social unrest and communal riot in otherwise peaceful Barak Valley (of Assam). The students also have written that as a guest lecturer of the college, he has influenced many students by applying his ‘destructive ideology’ in his teaching, and he will continue to do so if he is allowed to continue in the post.

The Guest Lecturer later apologised for his “irresponsible comments about a communally sensitive issue.” He claimed it to be a “lapse of judgement.”

In January this year, two men, Anwar and Niyaz, have been arrested on Tuesday for issuing death threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the implementation of CAA and NRC. A Congress politician and a rabid activist Nellai Kannan was also booked for calling for the assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Delhi: BJP leader Kapil Mishra gets death threats following anti-Hindu riots, AAP leader wishes death upon him

BJP leader Kapil Mishra today took to Twitter to share the death threats he has been receiving in wake of anti-Hindu riots in Delhi that perpetrated in last week of February 2020.

In one of the screenshots, one Mohammad Amanatullah sent him a threat that no one can save him from his impending doom. One more sent him messages on WhatsApp which read ‘Many will kill you’ in all capitals. Another WhatsApp message showed someone telling him that he wants to kill him.

These threats to Mishra come a day after AAP social media member Sanjay Raghav wished death upon Mishra.

Sanjay Raghav, AAP social media team member wishing death upon Kapil Mishra and his wife.

In a now deleted tweet, AAP’s social media member, Sanjay Raghav had shared images of Kapil Mishra with his wife and juxtaposed it with the image of a child crying over the corpse of his uncle, a man named Mudassir Khan and said that he wished that both these images should become similar some day. After his tweet went viral, Raghav deleted it and said his tweet was being ‘misconstrued’. He, however, did not apologise for wishing death on Mishra.

After the anti-Hindu riots broke out in Delhi, the ‘liberals’ had rushed to pin the blame of mob violence on BJP leader Kapil Mishra. It is being claimed that his speech instigated the riots at the national capital.

‘I will never be excited again about a crowd after India visit’, says US president Trump as he heaps praise on PM Modi

Awestruck by the massive reception he received in India, US President Donald Trump on Saturday said he would never again get excited about seeing a crowd ever after his India visit, as he heaped lavish praise on the gathering that greeted him at Ahmedabad.

Addressing a rally in South Carolina, President Trump remembered his India visit and called it “worthwhile”. He also quipped that he would never be excited again about any other crowds after having experienced addressing an event with over 1 lakh spectators in Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium last week.

US President Donald Trump on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him a “great guy” who is loved by his countrymen.

“I was with the Prime Minister of India, Modi. Great guy, loved by the people of India. And we had an amazing thing. And I went in, and here’s the problem. This is a big crowd. And normally I like talking about my crowds because I get the crowds like nobody, but I just got back from 140 or 50 or 60,000 people and now I’m coming here,” President Trump said.

“I may never be excited again about a crowd after going to India. Think of this, they have 1.5 billion people. We have 350, so we’re doing pretty well, I’ll tell you what, but I love this crowd, and I love that crowd too. Tell you they have a great love for … They have a great love. They have a great leader, and they have a great love for the people of this country. That was really a worthwhile trip,” he added.

United States President Donald Trump had visited India last week on a two-day bilateral visit. He was accompanied by wife Melania Trump and a high-level delegation comprising of senior officials and industry leaders.

In their 36-hour visit, President Trump and the first lady were part of various events and also visited two cities – Ahmedabad and Agra, besides the national capital of India. Upon their arrival at Ahmedabad airport on Monday, the US president was accorded a warm welcome by Prime Minister Modi and thousands of people who had lined up on the streets of the city.

The US President later addressed the “Namaste Trump” event at Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium along with PM Modi, where both the leaders had hailed the growing ties between the two countries. The event was witnessed by more than a lakh spectators at the stadium had impressed President Trump.

From Ahmedabad, the couple, along with their family had flown to Agra in Uttar Pradesh to visit the Taj Mahal. In the last leg of their visit, President Trump and Melania visited New Delhi.

The US President received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday morning. The couple wrapped up their visit by attending a banquet hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind.

“Yeh to hota rehta hai” Delhi anti-Hindu riots victim reveals how AAP MLA Haji Yunus shrugged off killing of Hindu children

The series of anti-Hindus riots that rocked the national capital in the North East Delhi has resulted in severe losses to life, properties belonging to residents of Delhi, especially the Hindus.

Know the Nation, a Digital media outlet, which has been at the forefront of publishing on ground reports during the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi, has put out a series of videos which has now unveiled the scale of violence that Hindu community was subjected to during the mob violence unleashed by the Muslim mobs in the national capital since February 23.

These videos which have now gone viral, expose the claims of ‘liberal-secular’ media who not only whitewashed the crimes committed by Muslim mobs during the entire anti-CAA violence but also held Hindu communities responsible for the crimes perpetrated by Muslims.

A victim at the Jaffrabad area, one of the most affected localities during the anti-Hindu riots, spoke to the outlet and shared the horror that was inflicted upon Hindu communities by the Muslim mobs. The victim said that the Muslims were checking the identity card of Hindus, who then allowed only Hindus to go and others were attacked.

“Today we are safe and alive only and only because of Delhi police,” said the Hindu victim, a resident of Brijpuri.

Another lady revealed that the frenzied Muslim mob had resorted to such an extent of violence that she had to throw her kids from the terrace as their neighbours stood below to catch the children. “They pelted stones, petrol bombs. We jumped to save our lives. Our house was set on fire. We nearly escaped choking to death,” she added.

“My shop was burnt down because it had Lord Krishna’s image on it and the name ‘Gopal’ inscribed on it,” said a Hindu shop owner in Yamuna Vihar whose shop was burnt down by Muslim mobs.

Another victim who was inside a hospital sharing her ordeal stated that ‘Muslim brothers’ started throwing stones at them. “After a nursing home filled with patients was attacked in Bhajanpura, the next day a Muslim man posing as ‘Bunty’ was caught by locals carrying a gun. Locals are living in fear,” she added.

Most of the resident Hindus accused AAP leader Mustafabad MLA Haji Yunus of leading the anti-Hindu riots, who not only incited the Muslim mobs to attack the Hindus but also led the mob attack on Hindus.

A victim alleged that Haji Yunus took charge of the violence, which resulted in worsening of violence against the Hindus. “A Muslim’s showroom was cleared ahead of the riots and some men came and burnt it to frame us. They climbed atop the nearby mosque & desecrated the school,” he added.

Another victim also blamed AAP leader Haji Yunus for the riots in Delhi. According to him, Haji Yunus said that the killing of Hindu children was a common act. “Ye toh hota rehta hai” said AAP’s Haji Yunus and Sher Mohammad to Hindus in Brijpuri area when they started questioning the killings of children. Many were injured by stone pelters that came from a Muslim neighbourhood across a drain, said another victim.

A victim said that the Hindus are forced to send the daughters and women of the families to the relative’s house for safety. Blaming AAP leader Haji Mohd Yunus for violence, a lady accused him of sending these rioters after them. “Cheen ke lenge aazaadi! Modi Murdabad” slogans were raised, said the victims who shared the horrors of the Delhi riots.

A Brijpuri teacher described the horrors perpetuated by the violent mob in a school. Books set on fire, records and laptops stolen and stone-pelting are just some of the things the victims had to face from anti-Hindu rioting mob.

The parents of Rahul Singh who was shot dead by the Muslim mobs shared their grief with the media. The father of Singh said his son was killed by the mob of rioters who shot him right on his chest. What was Rahul’s fault? asked his father who is yet to come out of the shock of his son’s death.

A local from Bramhpuri said that the rioting mob opened fire at Hindus before proceeding to desecrate a temple.

The anti-CAA riots turned communal in Delhi resulting in severe violence on the streets of  Delhi. The anti-Hindu riots that engulfed the streets of Delhi have resulted in deaths of around 40 persons and more than 220 people sustained injuries in the violence that started on Sunday.

The injured include around 70 persons from the security forces. 48 FIRs had been filed and 514 suspects had also been rounded up by the police. The cops have set up 2 SITs for investigating serious cases of offence that took place during the riots.

Journalist says US newspaper offered USD 1500 for reporting on Delhi riots on religious lines, reveals about other such ‘news plants’

Senior journalist J Gopikrishnan, associated with The Pioneer, on Saturday took to Twitter to reveal how a US-based newspaper publication offered him USD 1,500 for a 1,000 word article to report on how many died on religion basis in Delhi’s anti-Hindu riots which coincided with the visit of US President Donald Trump.

Referring to US-based leftist media as ‘rascals’ and ‘crooks’, Gopikrishnan said that these media houses see everything with negative perspective. Calling out Indian journalists who sell their souls for a few hundred dollars, he said that he was offered huge amount for writing on the people who died in Delhi riots on religious lines.

He further revealed how he was earlier offered USD 25,000 in cash in March 2012 by a Norway-based newspaper to write a pro-Uninor report when the 2G scam broke out.

He further revealed that after he refused to be a pen for hire, he saw the same story with same brief in Economic Times. Gopikrishnan added that based on this particular report in Economic Times, the then Norway leader wrote to then PM Dr Manmohan Singh on how bad the Indian system is to foreign companies.

He further revealed that back during the height of 2G scam investigation, a corporate house had offered Rs 10 crore cash. However, he turned down the offer innovatively by putting up a condition that he would rather take Rs 100 crore and take a picture of money being transferred and also pay 30% income tax after declaring the same in his return. Later, this Rs 10 crore price was even increased to ‘adjust’ the prime witness and save an accused, Gopikrishnan revealed in his tweets.

Delhi anti-Hindu riots: Alok Tiwari, sole breadwinner of his family, left after eating food on Wednesday morning, but never returned

The fires lit by Delhi’s anti-Hindu riots may have died down but for some Hindus, their lives have changed forever. Here is a story of Alok Tiwari, who lived with his family in Prem Vihar in the national capital.

The riots in NorthEast Delhi started last Sunday. On Saturday, too, the markets of communally sensitive areas were shut. Normalcy is now limping back in these areas even as police force is deployed in large number. OpIndia team reached Shiv Vihar. We reached the home of Alok Tiwari whose widow is sitting on the ground with her hands on her head, inconsolable. The women sitting around are expressing their condolences to her. Tiwari’s widow composed herself when she saw us. While we talked to people gathered around, his widow did not utter a word to us.

Alok Tiwari

After we requested, she narrated the incident that changed their lives forever. On Wednesday (26th February), at around 10 AM, Alok Tiwari had his food and went out of the house. “We weren’t worried because we were unaware of the situation outside. After about half an hour I got a call from his number and asked me whose number it was. I said that number was of my husband. He asked me to reach there as my husband was injured on his head. I reached there with a few people and saw that he was lying across a shop, injured badly. I fainted,” she said.

An eyewitness then narrates the remaining incident. “Alok was injured in the head and blood was oozing out. With the help of few bystanders, we brought him home. We called an ambulance but when it came at 1:30 PM, a lot of blood was lost. We got him admitted to GTB Hospital but late night, doctors declared him dead,” he said. As soon as family got to know if the news, they were devastated. After running pillar to post and visiting various police stations, the authorities handed over Alok Tiwari’s mortal remains to the family on 28th February. The condition of the family is so bad that the neighbours collected funds to arrange for the funeral. His four year old son Ayush Tiwari lit the funeral pyre.

Alok Tiwari’s Aadhaar. Tiwari was killed in mob violence during the anti-Hindu riots in Delhi

While Alok Tiwari’s widow Kavita Tiwari cannot stop crying, his two children, Sonakshi and Ayush are unaware that they lost their father. Originally from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, Alok Tiwari with his family, came to Delhi about eight years back. They lived in Shiv Vihar in NorthEast Delhi. He worked as a labourer in a factory and was the sole breadwinner of the family. Kavita now has only one thing on her mind – what will happen to me and my children.

Hindu women have to come from far off to get Kejriwal’s ‘free water’, while Muslims have water tank: Ground report

When OpIndia team visited parts of NorthEast Delhi as part of their ground reporting during anti-Hindu riots, the team got to know of the sorry state in which the Hindus are living in that part. Just some distance away from Shiv Vihar Chowk, we got to know of the truth which proves how hollow the promises of Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government are. About 20,000 Hindus in areas surrounding Shiv Vihar, Govind Vihar and Mahalakshmi Enclave have been facing such hardship since past eight (some say 20) years.

There is a road along a big drainage which leads you to a lane in Govind Vihar. The drainage opens up on either side of the lane. Every evening at 6 PM, a huge crowd gathers there. Women, children and some youth, all gather there. Some come from nearby lane while others come from far off places. Everyone has a bucket or container in their hands in which they fill water. In that drainage opens the mouth of two pipes from which drinking water is provided. The water directly falls into the drainage. These women balance themselves and collect the water for drinking.

Hindu women collecting water from drainage line in Shiv Vihar

If the women lose their balance, they could even fall inside the drainage line. When they are filling water from the pipes, half their container or bucket is dipped in the drainage water. This is a shocking state to live in for the Hindus. If you live away from Delhi in other part of India and you do not have water crisis, this scene will give you two lessons: learn the importance of water and if a politician has promised ‘free water’ it does not mean he has improved the condition.

Why Hindus?

You might be wondering why do we keep repeating about the plight of Hindus. We could have also mentioned about the plight of a citizen instead of specifying religion. This is why it is crucial. This area of Karawal Nagar comes under Mustafabad. Haji Yunus of Aam Aadmi Party is the newly minted MLA of that area. Local people believe that the MLA of the ruling party had a role to play in the recent anti-Hindu riots in the national capital. He is also believed to a close associate of AAP corporator Tahir Hussain whose role in anti-Hindu riots last week is under scanner.

Read: Why every Indian must know about Round 23 in Mustafabad seat in Delhi

People believe that Haji Yunus won because of Muslim vote consolidation and is now taking a ‘revenge’ on Hindus as he thinks the Hindus didn’t vote for him.

We noticed that near that sewer, not a single Muslim was filling their buckets with water. We asked about it to the people standing nearby.

Why no Muslims?

The local people said that in the Muslim locality, proper arrangement is made for water supply and storage. They also get tankers to supply water to them and have water tanks to store water. Because of curfew and communally sensitive circumstances, we could not physically go to verify these claims. However, people there said that proper water facility is made for Muslims.

More shocking details

OpIndia team learnt of more shocking details. The water supply in the pines along with drainage lane comes once a day for a period of one hour. If you do not fill water in this one hour, you will be left without water for one day.

That means, one family will be left without drinking water for one day or they will have to make alternate arrangement for water. What is the use of such ‘free water’? The situation of Hindus have not been like this in this area always. When BJP’s Jagdish Pradhan was the MLA, the water situation was not this dire.

The women recount that when Pradhan was the MLA, without religious discrimination he would put up water tanker outside his office. Hindus, Muslims, all used to fill water from there. Jagdish Pradhan is no longer an MLA. However, people say that after he lost, the Hindus have to now collect water from pipes flowing into the drainage. When OpIndia team reached there, they were hopeful that media will now raise their voice. Everyone was asking, ‘when will this news be published?’

With this hope, we are bringing this report to you. An MLA of the ruling party is accused of favouritism. BJP and Congress leaders should reach out to the people and talk to them. They should bring some relief to the Hindus collecting drinking water from pipes passing through drainage.

US signs peace deal with Taliban to end the two-decade long war in Afghanistan, to withdraw troops in 14 months

0

The United States and Taliban signed a peace deal in Doha, Qatar on Saturday after months of negotiations between both the sides, potentially ending the war in the country that is going on for 18 years.

The deal was signed by US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban political chief Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar with US Secretary of State Mr. Mike Pompeo as a witness. Representatives from India, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were present during the signing of the deal.

The deal has four parts, full withdrawal of American and NATO Troops from Afghanistan within 14 months, a guarantee that the Taliban will not launch attacks on the USA and its allies from Afghanistan, beginning of intra-Afghan negotiations between Taliban and Afghan government, and a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire.

In a speech, Mr. Pompeo urged the militant group to “keep your promises to cut ties with al-Qaeda”.

“I know there will be a temptation to declare victory, but victory for Afghans will only be achieved when they can live in peace and prosper,” he said at the Doha ceremony.

In a statement, the Taliban said it had reached an agreement “about the termination of occupation of Afghanistan”. “The accord about the complete withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan and never intervening in its affairs in the future is undoubtedly a great achievement,” they said.

Under the agreement, the US will undergo the process of drawing down 8600 troops from the land of Afghanistan in the first 135 days with allies also withdrawing their forces proportionately. Remaining forces are expected to leave within the other Nine and half months.

The deal also includes a process of the prisoner swap. Around 5000 Taliban and 1,000 Afghan security force prisoners may be interchanged by 10 March, the day when talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government are due to start.

Also, the US will lift sanctions against the Taliban and work with the UN to lift its separate sanctions against the group.

The agreement also states that Taliban members will not use Afghanistan to threat the security of USA and its allies, and they will not have any ties with anyone who poses such security threat for the USA and its allies. It further states the Taliban will prevent

Since 2011, Taliban Leaders have been moved to Qatar to discuss peace with Afghanistan.

In 2018, the militant group announced that they would meet the US to find a “roadmap to peace”. But later they refused to hold official talks with the Afghan Government terming them as American “puppets.”

Afghan war began when America launched Air-strikes one month after 9/11/2001 after the Taliban refused to hand over Osama Bin Laden to America.

The US with the help of an international coalition including forces from various nations conducted ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’, removing the Taliban from power. The Taliban turned into a militant group and conducted deadly attacks, destabilizing various Afghan governments.

President Donald Trump has been advocating the withdrawal of American forces from foreign lands, and this peace deal marks a success for him in this regard. Last year Trump had ordered the withdrawal of American troops from Northern Syria.

Kerala man with Coronavirus like symptoms tested negative for COVID-19, dies of Pneumonia the very next day

0

A 36-year old man who worked in Malaysia for the last three years and came back to India on Thursday with symptoms of flu and breathlessness, died on Saturday after he was tested negative for the deadly coronavirus.

He landed at the international airport in Cochin on Thursday night and was rushed to the isolation ward at the Government Medical College Hospital.

Doctors said that the man died of pneumonia and chest congestion. They were waiting for the test result of his second sample from a laboratory.

A senior doctor of the Government Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Ganesh Mohanan said, “In the preliminary investigation, we found he developed acute pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome. We also understood that he was diabetic. Blood sugar can flare up when there is an acute infection.”

He further added, “We suspect he died of pneumonia and diabetic ketoacidosis wherein the body cannot produce insulin.”

The samples of the deceased tested negative for H1N1 and CoVid-19 at the Virology Institute in Alappuzha. A second sample was sent to ensure he was not infected by Coronavirus.

Ernakulam district collector S Suhas had called an emergency meeting on Friday after the man was admitted to the isolation ward. He had also visited the isolation ward and took stock of the situation.

India has reported three coronavirus cases in India so far, all of them are Kerala students who returned from Wuhan which is the epicenter of the outbreak of the virus.

The state of Kerala had declared a “medical calamity” last month and restricted on large gatherings and excursions. It had declared a medical emergency on 3 February 2019, after the third case was detected in Noth Kerala. Kerala later withdrew the “calamity” warning after it successfully restricted the virus to the three students.

All three students have recovered and discharged from the hospital.

Former Editor of Kapil Sibal’s channel twists RTI reply for propaganda, lies that everyone needs to register their citizenship but PM Modi is exempted

The left-liberals in the country continue to twist and misrepresent facts to propagate their misleading and baseless arguments against CAA, NRC and NPR. In one such attempt, the former senior Executive Editor of Tiranga TV Seemi Pasha today posed a misleading question when she posted on Twitter an RTI filed by one Subhankar Sarkar seeking Citizenship certificate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pasha queried that since PM Modi doesn’t need to register his citizenship as per Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, 1955, why should others be mandated to do so.

Responding to Sarkar’s RTI, the government said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an Indian citizen by the virtue of his birth in India as per Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, 1955. It further added that the question of PM Modi’s citizenship certificate doesn’t arise as the certificate is granted to those who apply for citizenship through registration.

Pasha, however, completely misinterpreted the RTI reply and claimed that only the Prime Minister is not required to register his citizenship while others are required to do so under Section 3 of the Citizenship Act. She asked if PM Modi doesn’t have to register his citizenship certificate as confirmed in the RTI response, why others should be compelled to do so.

She completely twisted the RTI reply to attack the Prime Minister, because the Section 3 of Citizenship Act mentioned in the reply applies to all Indians who got their citizenship by birth, and not only to PM Modi as claimed by Seemi Pasha.

Section 3(1) of the Citizenship Act 1955 pertains to “Citizenship by birth”, and it does not have any provision for “registering citizenship” as Pasha is claiming. The Section states that every person born in India:-

(a) on or after the 26th day of January 1950, but before the 1st day of July 1987;
(b) on or after the 1st day of July 1987, but before the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003 and either of whose parents is a citizen of India at the time of his birth;

(c) on or after the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2003, where—

(i) both of his parents are citizens of India; or

(ii) one of whose parents is a citizen of India and the other is not an illegal migrant at the time of his birth, shall be a citizen of India by birth.

The RTI reply clearly says that PM’s citizenship comes under Section 3 of the Citizenship Act, it does not say only the PM does not need to apply for citizenship while other citizens need to do so.

However, such an elementary insight was lost on the former Tiranga TV journalist. Not just PM Modi, but everyone who is born in India, fulfilling the above criterion is a citizen of India, without having to apply for a certificate. While for the immigrants from other countries or those seeking asylum in India, certification of citizenship is mandatory since they will be applying for India’s citizenship by registration and naturalisation, which comes under different sections of the Citizenship Act and different rules and regulations apply for granting of citizenship to such naturalised citizens.

Read- Intellectuals against Citizenship Amendment Act: The art of lying and use of muscle power

For example, Congress interim Sonia Gandhi will have a certificate of citizenship, as she became India citizenship not by birth, but by applying for it after immigrating to India following her marriage with former PM Rajiv Gandhi. At present, there is no provision for issuing citizenship certificates to Indian citizens who acquired citizenship by birth. Therefore no such citizens have citizenship certificate, not only Narendra Modi as alleged by Seemi Pasha.

In addition, Pasha’s assertion that everyone, including PM Modi, should have a citizenship certificate holds a profound paradox. While Pasha is avowedly against the CAA, NRC, and NPR, her demand that every citizen should have a citizenship certificate is nothing but a call for a country-wide implementation of NRC, as only after NRC is carried out, citizens can be issued with citizenship certificates.
